Watching Melania pass blithely past the Christmas decorations is like watching a Bergman film.

The video's already on Twitter which features the White House video with her "fucking children, are you kidding me" rant substituted as the audio. And when the camera pans in on her goddamned "Be Best" ornament on the tree, it's like watching the blood circle down the drain in "Psycho."

The National Review piece on Trump's "coup"

I'm not going to post it here, or the link, because the magazine IS the Rosetta Stone of "Republican Talking Points," and I'm not going to take a hit for violating DU's terms of service regarding said talking points. The article is called "Trump's Disgraceful Endgame," you can go to their site and find it yourself if you'd like.

And while I truly believe their own "endgame" is absolving the Republican party of being complicit in propping Trump up for four years and salvaging what is left of Bill Buckley's conservative wet dream (and make no mistake, there is nothing left, because Rick Wilson was right, everything Trump touches dies), you have to look at the message coming from that particular publication.

The "tell," the dead giveaway that the Review's intentions are not noble and that it's an attempt to distance the remains of the party, is when the author states that the only reason Trump hasn't gotten away with his coup is that Republicans haven't let him. If I posted the actual sentence where that assertion was made, it WOULD be a T.O.S. violation, but if you read the article, you'll spot it.

It would be fascinating for Trump to send out a rage tweet in which he calls the Review "fake news enemy of the people" and referred to them as "failing," I have no idea where the magazine fits in a world of Trumpism. I have no idea how immediately guys like Rick Wilson and Bill Krystol...Bill freakin' Krystol...who have been anti-Trump voices will be snapping back to Republican dirty tricks and spin.

But TODAY...even though it is couched in a somewhat subtle vision of the GOP as Phoenix, rising from the ashes of everything Trump burned down, you'll see amazing similarities between what we discuss here daily and what's in the piece. They cop to the whole concept of Trump attempting to halt certification of votes in swing states and install pro-Trump electors who will overrule the will of the people and crown him king.

ANYWAY...just wanted to point it out without crossing the line on sharing content that would most likely not be welcome here. I thought this article was an exception, even if I didn't feel comfortable sharing it.

SAD! UNFAIR! Honest Kayleigh McEnany to be replaced by Obama/Biden admin alum Jen Psaki!

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/biden-hires-all-female-senior-communications-team/2020/11/29/5b60b58e-3277-11eb-a997-1f4c53d2a747_story.html

WILMINGTON, Del. — Jennifer Psaki, a veteran Democratic spokeswoman, will be Joe Biden’s White House press secretary, one of seven women who will fill the upper ranks of his administration’s communications staff. It is the first time that all of the top aides tasked with speaking on behalf of an administration and shaping its message will be female.

Biden’s press team will be led by Kate Bedingfield, a longtime Biden aide who served as his campaign communications director and will hold the same title in his White House.

Biden will also break several barriers on key economic policy positions including the nomination of Neera Tanden as director of the influential Office of Management and Budget. Tanden, the chief executive of the left-leaning Center for American Progress, would be the first woman of color to oversee OMB.

Biden also is expected to appoint Princeton University labor economist Cecilia Rouse as chair of the three-member Council of Economic Advisers, with economists Jared Bernstein and Heather Boushey serving as the other members. Rouse would be the first woman of color to chair the council.

If you use Twitter, I IMPLORE you...please DO NOT post this photo in replies to Trump's tweets.

I was just looking at Little Lord PissyPants' Twitter feed and some anarchist who TRULY hates America (didn't check their profile pic to see it was the ANTIFA logo) posted THIS. WHY would you want to upset the best president since Abraham Lincoln? So if you use Twitter and do see Trump's tweets, PLEASE DO NOT post this in a reply to him.

Also, if you have freedom lovin' MAGA friends, don't post it in replies to them, either!

Trump reveals the ONE prerequisite EVERY new President MUST MEET before taking office

“Biden can only enter the White House as President if he can prove that his ridiculous ‘80,000,000 votes’ were not fraudulently or illegally obtained..."

https://www.rawstory.com/2020/11/trump-demands-that-biden-prove-the-election-fraud-his-own-lawyers-cannot-hes-got-a-big-unsolvable-problem/

The president falsely claimed his Democratic challenger could not possibly have gotten a record-breaking 80 million votes, and then demanded that Biden prove that he legitimately won.

“Biden can only enter the White House as President if he can prove that his ridiculous ‘80,000,000 votes’ were not fraudulently or illegally obtained,” Trump tweeted.
When you see what happened in Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia & Milwaukee, massive voter fraud, he’s got a big unsolvable problem!”

Trump’s lawyers have not presented any evidence of fraud in their various legal challenges, despite what they and the president claim on TV and social media, and Rudy Giuliani explicitly admitted in a Pennsylvania court that he wasn’t claiming fraud.

“This is not a fraud case,” Giuliani admitted, under questioning from a federal judge.

I'm the president of the United States, don't ever talk to the president that way," Trump insisted.

Trump was pressed on his refusal to concede by Reuters White House correspondent Jeff Mason.

“Don’t talk to me that way,” Trump replied.

“You’re just a lightweight, don’t talk to me that way,” the lame-duck president demanded.

“I’m the president of the United States, don’t ever talk to the president that way,” Trump insisted.

"Wow, I was called by the biggest political people, congratulations, sir, on a big win."

President Donald Trump called into a Pennsylvania meeting hosted by Republican state lawmakers on Wednesday, and insisted that he had actually won the 2020 presidential election.

“This election was rigged and we can’t let that happen,” Trump said. “We won Pennsylvania by a lot. And we won all of these swing states by a lot.”

“Anybody watching television the night of the election was saying ‘Wow, I was called by the biggest political people, congratulations, sir, on a big win. And all of a sudden ballots were dumped all over the place and a lot of horrible things happened,” he continued.

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS for Princess Ivanka as she's in "extremely frantic damage control mode."

IVANKA TRUMP DESPERATELY TRIES TO REHAB HER IMAGE ON THE WAY OUT THE DOOR

When Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner first took jobs in the White House in 2017, they presumably assumed that eight years later, they‘d return to New York and be crowned the king and queen not just of an exclusive social set but the city—nay, the entire globe. Vogue would put them on the cover of the September issue. Billionaires would beg them to sit on the boards of their companies to lend an air of credibility. People would scream, “I love you Javanka!” as they walked down the street. Politicos would constantly beg them to run for president. Penguin Random House would get into a bidding war for their memoirs, telling The New York Times, “That $65 million we dropped on the Obamas? Peanuts compared to what we’re shelling out for these two.” When being introduced at major conferences people would say, of Jared, “And now please welcome the man who brought peace to the Middle East!” World leaders would do whatever the opposite of pulling a “Who the f--k is this and why is she here?” face when approached by the first daughter.

Instead, they’re being unceremoniously booted out of the place after just four years, with significantly worse reputations than when they started. To be clear, no one was falling all over themselves to get an audience with the couple before Donald Trump was inaugurated but they weren’t reviled among the people whose opinions they presumably once and probably do still care about, with just a narrow portion of Manhattan reportedly looking forward to their return, and an open invitation from Staten Island to take the ferry out and put down roots. “Everyone with self-respect, a career, morals, respect for democracy, or who doesn’t want their friends to shame them both in private and public will steer clear,” a former friend of the couple told my colleague Emily Jane Fox, which probably has something to do with kidnapping and the possible prison sentences and the whole not-giving-a-crap-if-New-Yorkers-die-of-COVID-19 business.

Not surprisingly, the outgoing first daughter appears to be in extremely frantic damage control mode, attempting to prove, via tweets that should come with fact-checks, that the Trump administration isn’t the worst collection of people in modern presidential history. For instance, on Tuesday alone, Ivanka wrote this:

Ivanka Trump
@IvankaTrump
FACT: Greenhouse gases generated by the U.S. will slide 9.2% this year, tumbling to the lowest level in at least three decades.

…which might sound impressive were it not for the fact that there’s a reason greenhouse gasses are down and it’s that her father (and husband) royally screwed up the country’s pandemic response, leading to the deaths of 250,000 Americans and a situation wherein no one can go anywhere.

So the sick bastard's temper tantrum clocked in at two weeks. 60 days to prepare for SDNY.

There isn't a DAMN thing he will be able to do about Southern District of New York. He'll do his usual endless appeals thing but with $400+ million in debts coming due next year, he's going to do one hell of a hustle to drum up the cash.

PSSSST...hey. DU. Lean in a little closer, I have something I want to share with you.

MELIANIA is GONE.

THE PRINCESS is GONE.

JARED is GONE.

DON & ERIC'S PLATFORM just shrunk DRAMATICALLY.

MILLER is GONE.

Decisions, DECISIONS: G20 virtual summit focused on pandemic preparedness, or GOLF???

https://www.cnn.com/world/live-news/coronavirus-pandemic-11-21-20-intl/h_ec704b62744ff3605cf00598ff9f817e

It does not appear President Trump will participate in a side-event at the G20 virtual summit focused on pandemic preparedness.

The event — which is due to begin this hour — will feature remarks from the leaders of Germany, France, South Korea and Argentina.

The goal of the event is to "foster international cooperation and to find solutions that protect people’s lives and livelihoods," the Saudi release says.

Trump has just arrived at his golf course in Virginia and does not appear on the list of speakers at the event.
