Trump loses bid to avoid paying $10,000 per day contempt of court fine

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday lost an effort to stay a contempt of court order from a New York judge, and as a result still owes a fine of $10,000 per day, according to the state attorney general’s office.

Trump last week was found in contempt for failing to comply with a subpoena from Attorney General Letitia James, who demanded he turn over records she wants for her civil probe of his company, the Trump Organization.

The SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe v Wade can be easily remedied

All it takes is enough people who are disgusted with the republican agenda to show up to the polls in November in such overwhelming numbers none of the GOP efforts to suppress the vote can overcome.

If the Dems have strong majorities in both branches of Congress, they can steam roll new legislation into law.

Will this happen? I doubt it. Until enough people get off their asses, we can expect more of the sane.

Entertaining opening game for the new USFL

Wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised with the two teams last night. The game was well played and a last minute touchdown by the Stallions to steal a victory. Of course these weren't NFL caliber players, but they were evenly matched, which made for an entertaining game. I'm hopeful three games today will be just as entertaining.
