Hey y'all! Quit whining and volunteer.

It's time to stop crying in your beer. On Facebook, all I see is whine, whine, whine about our losses. I'm a tired 60 year old nurse, I have a disabled wife, so I do almost all of the work around the house, I rescue animals including trapping, neutering and releasing feral cats in my neighborhood and I work almost 50 hours a week. I found the time and energy to volunteer for the Democrats in Florida.

So, get off your asses. Do more than vote. VOLUNTEER!!!

Gov. DeSantis orders flags at half-staff for Pulse Remembrance Day. OMG!

Gov. Ron DeSantis has ordered flags at half-staff Sunday for Pulse Remembrance Day, honoring the 49 individuals who were murdered six years ago at an Orlando nightclub.

Pulse Remembrance Day commemorates what was at the time the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. On June 12, 2016, a shooter claiming allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq targeted members of the LGBTQ community by committing a mass shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, a gay-friendly club, during Pride Month.

In addition to the 49 killed, 53 were wounded, making it the deadliest incident of violence against the LGBTQ community in modern U.S. history. The proclamation calls the tragedy “one of the darkest moments in our state’s history.”

"The state of Florida will not tolerate hatred towards the LGBTQ and Hispanic community of any kind, and together we stand united against terrorism and hate of any kind,” the proclamation reads.

Desantis has stepped in a big steaming pile of poop with big business!

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that a decision by the Republican-led legislature in Floria -- at the behest of Gov. Ron DeSantis -- to strip the Disney Company of its special taxing privileges has bondholders in a frenzy over who will be responsible for approximately $1 billion in debt payments.

Within the report stating, "Florida law dictates the bondholders must be paid," the Journal's Heather Giller wrote, "Those caught up in the fight include municipal bond investors, firefighters, and the $210 billion global media and marketing enterprise behind Star Wars, the Avengers and ESPN."

With investors asking, who will be held accountable for repaying nearly $1 billion in municipal debt used to build the infrastructure surrounding the massive Disney World theme park, the Journal is reporting, "One of the bill’s sponsors is now considering re-establishing a watered-down version of Reedy Creek to unwind the legal mess. "

Goshen Local Schools board president resigns following incident in Indiana, school says

Goshen Local Schools board president resigned on Sunday after an incident in Indiana, according to Goshen Local Schools Superintendent, Darrell Edwards.

According to Edwards, a video was posted to YouTube on Saturday evening showing the school board president, John Gray, being handcuffed by law enforcement.

Edwards says that the content of the video is deeply disturbing to the entire school district and Goshen Local School community.

Gray was serving his fifth term with the school at the time of his resignation.
