After two days of non-sequitur word salad

Does anyone have first hand experience/knowledge of faithful supporters turning off the radio with a thoughtful look on their faces?

I only ask because I’ve made a habit of listening to presidential debates on radio rather than watching them in recent years, and I usually have a better feel for who did well. Sometimes visuals can be distracting. Without the accompanying visual propaganda/pageantry, I wonder if any who weren’t completely over the hedge actually had to focus on the chaos of what he mouth-farted?

Way too much to hope for, I know.

It still is. If he and all of his supporters knew that he was positive before the debate, then this is a Jonestown level kool-aid event. They know the jig is up, and they have no way out.

But if everyone is reeling from a mass outbreak right here at home, after it’s all over, they can claim to have been pivotal in getting us through, and can spin whatever seems favorable to them as we’re picking up the pieces.

Knowingly passing along a potentially fatal virus? Willfully? Aside from the morally repugnant aspect that is going to register with many voters, I’d imagine there’s even some legal nuances here that can be shaken out.

But the timing here sucks for them, from the SCOTUS nomination to the election itself, it’s time to be very concerned about what they potentially will do next. Because they’ve shown what they really care about and what they’re prepared to do to get their way. Unless there was any question that they believed in honor, in fair play, in what the constitution represents, their actions of late have removed all doubt.

They don’t care about America, they only want their theocracy.
They don’t care about you, only they matter (true sociopaths).
They have no honor, and will lie, cheat, steal, and kill to get their way.

What atrocity are they preparing to retain their grip on power? You can bet it’s in the works, it’s coming.

What I want on Tuesday from Joe Biden.

I don’t want fireworks as he walks onto the podium.

I don’t want theatrical garbage to detract from substance, so please, no one armed pushups, no chest bumping GMD standoff at center stage, nor a refusal to be civilized through acknowledging trumps presence in a dismissive or disrespectful way.

I want the adult in the room on full display please. I want calm, collected responses to questions, with supporting data where necessary, but not to excess.

I don’t want snickering or gasps of disbelief at anything that comes from the other lecturn no matter how pompous or assinine or incendiary.

I want a solid win and this is the way to get one. This debate isn’t for the trump supporters really, it’s for us. It’s to give out a little hope here right before things look like they’re about to drop off the abyss.

Keep the faith. Don’t waver. We may stumble across that finish line in January, but we will cross that finish line.

And I’m starting to believe that we might win it. 9000 ballots returned by mail this time 2016. 180,000 so far at last count. After he’s railed against mail in balloting, I can’t imagine the majority of those ballots going for him.

Watch the debate. Take what hope you need, and keep stumbling forward.

The bedlam is getting a little obnoxious really.

This latest about Woodward bearing some responsibility......just more shiny keys folks.

Do not lose focus please, everyone here needs to keep their eyes on the prize, the type of single minded obsession that I don’t normally get to see from the Democratic Party. There is only one overarching thing that needs to be done.

We need to vote Donald Trump out of office resoundingly on November 3rd. Anything else fails to garner my attention, nor should it yours.

Don’t allow the deflection that Woodward should have told somebody, he said it himself, he couldn’t be sure if what trump was telling him was the truth. Add to that the fact that with a large portion of the population (not just trump supporters) you can only actually make headway with facts after the event/fact has already occurred .

In retrospect, love him or hate him, trump has some innate feel for the mob. He was absolutely right when he said he could have shot someone on fifth avenue and he still wouldn’t lose any votes. We thought it was hyperbole, it turned out he underestimated his kill numbers severely.

Don’t be distracted by folks saying “what if...?

What if:

He won’t leave office?
The police/boogaloo boys cooperate and stage a coup?
McConnell poisons RBG and leverages Mike Lee into a SCOTUS spot?
He drops a nuke on DPRK?

Don’t. Lose. Focus.

Vote.


Vote early, vote him out.

So on the up side of the next popular vote totals, I’d like to point out that 63,000 is .1% of 63 million.

Given enough time that exponential equalizer will solve the problem the electoral college provided us with in 2016. The more they congregate, the better the margins look.

Just another case of sick projection by the right .

After watching the video of the woman in Ohio taunting/berating the reporter for wearing a mask, it occurred to me that this, like everything else the right wing does, is all about some sick form of projection.

The right has finally found its Social Justice Warrior cause. They’ve complained about SJWs endlessly now on the right. Another of those fairly mundane things that get stuck in their craw inexplicably, and inextricably.

Everything the left does that they complain about, eventually, they emulate it in some way, but of course then, when they do it, it’s ‘okay’ somehow. We are somehow suffering from TDS, but a fella from Kenya has been living rent free in their heads now for a long time, is another example.

All things are forgiven or permitted as long as your name is in the (R) column.

It’s like hypocrisy is looking for a way to be hypocritical. The mind boggles.

Tomorrow (Friday) is National Bat Appreciation Day.

What is up with the recent increase in posts linking to instagram and twitter garbage?

Using twitter or instagram posts as your link to bolster your argument is lame. Just because somebody on twitter or instagram shares your opinion, has nothing to do with it’s validity.

That’s like citing Wikipedia as source on your essay. It’s just lazy.

I’ve noticed a marked increase in these posts in the last week or so.

They need to start DWTS early this year for all us shut-ins.

Only be sure and practice proper social distancing.

The tangoes would be something to see.

It might be the first all “line dance” DWTS competition. Hopefully the last.
