Court filing highlights breadth of Mueller's investigation into Manafort

Federal prosecutors’ investigation into Paul Manafort’s financial dealings was enormous in scope, with FBI agents executing at least 15 search warrants and assembling a trove of hundreds of thousands of records related to the case, according to details in a new court filing.

Prosecutors said that, by Monday, Manafort’s defense attorneys will have electronic copies of “400,000 items,” such as emails, bank and tax records, and documents from vendors Manafort allegedly paid with some of the money, and images of 36 electronic devices such as laptops, phones and thumb drives.

Mueller’s team said that because the amount of materials in the legal discovery process is so great, the prosecution has tried to flag the most significant records.

“Given the volume of discovery in this case, the government also produced to defendants certain documents that it identified as ‘hot,’” prosecutors said, with about 2,000 records in that category.

John Lewis won't attend civil rights museum opening due to Trump presence

Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) announced Thursday he won’t attend the opening of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum on Saturday because President Trump will be there.

“President Trump’s attendance and his hurtful policies are an insult to the people portrayed in this civil rights museum," Lewis said in a statement.

Lewis cited Trump’s past comments about women, immigrants and NFL players who have protested during the national anthem before games, saying his remarks "disrespect the efforts" of civil rights leaders.

He had previously said he was reconsidering whether to attend after the White House announced Tuesday that Trump would be at the event in Jackson, Miss.

Bravo, John Lewis.

Why do so many Democrats, so often, find it so hard to use the phrase

"credibly accused child molester"? They could learn a lot from the pukes in this regard.

This will be bad, clashes break out in West Bank over Trump Jerusalem speech

Source: Washington Post

RAMALLAH, West Bank Skirmishes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli soldiers broke out Thursday in Ramallah and other places in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, one day after President Trump announced that his administration would recognize Jerusalem as Israels capital.

The Palestinian Authority called for a general strike in Palestinian cities and, in Gaza, the Islamist Hamas movement urged its followers to ignite a third intifada, or uprising, against Israel.

At a checkpoint near Ramallah, Israeli forces fired dozens of rounds of tear gas and stun grenades at hundreds of Palestinian protesters gathering to air their anger over Trumps statement. They burned tires and pelted the soldiers with rocks.

This will be bad, said an ambulance driver.
