"Sara and Gus Stathes, owners of The Barrel House, put the message “Jewish Owned” on the signboard in front of their bar, a few blocks east of the counterprotest area on Third Street.
When Stathes learned of the rally, she decided to hold a fundraiser; The Barrel House donated a dollar per pint sold on May 25 to the National Conference for Community and Justice of Greater Dayton. After she posted the fundraiser on Facebook, two local businesses each matched the dollar per pint.
That afternoon, someone posted a series of photos on her Facebook site showing people in the counterprotest area first attempting to burn an Israeli flag, then tearing it and stomping on it.
According to Stephanie Hausner, deputy director of the Israel Action Network of Jewish Federations of North America, Students for Justice in Palestine equates Zionists and the KKK as fascists."

German neo-Nazi parties aggressively push boycott of Israel
Two neo-Nazi parties are stoking the flames of BDS, a sanctions campaign targeting Israel that was classified as antisemitic in May by the German federal parliament. A third neo-Nazi party attacked Israel on Twitter.
The party Die Rechte (The Right) used an election poster for the weekend’s EU parliament vote stating: “Boycott Israel. Stop ethnic cleansing.”
The newly released intelligence report from the southern German state of Bavaria cited the Boycott, Sanctions and Divestment activities of the neo-Nazi party The Third Way. According to a review of the May Bavarian intelligence report by The Jerusalem Post, “The Third Way spreads on its website recommended actions to boycott Israel.” The intelligence document noted that The Third Way “recommends that [Israeli] products be boycotted and participation in events against the ‘criminal genocidal measures of the Zionists in the Middle East.’”
The Bavarian intelligence agency wrote that the neo-Nazi party urged a no-vote for “pro-Zionist parties.”

3 Fires at Jewish Centers in Massachusetts Were "Intentionally Set"
Three fires — two at a rabbi’s house and one at a nearby Jewish center — were intentionally set, Massachusetts state officials said Friday.
At around 10 p.m on Thursday night, police and firefighters in Needham, Massachusetts, about 20 miles from Boston, responded to reports of a fire at the Chabad Jewish Center. By the time they arrived, the fire on the side of the building had been extinguished by the caller. Police said they were investigating that fire as a possible hate crime.
About one hour earlier and 30 minutes away in Arlington, police and firefighters had responded to reports of a fire at Rabbi Avi Burkiet’s home, which also functions as a community Chabad center.

Norman OK Police Department investigating antisemitic, racist graffiti at various locations
The Norman Police Department is investigating anti-Semitic and racist graffiti that was painted at various locations around Norman.
Swastikas were painted over the eyes of a statue of a human head at the park, with the word "Jewess" painted on the head with red paint from the forehead of the statue. Nearby on the concrete, racist language using the n-word was painted in red. The graffiti took place at Firehouse Art Center near Lions Park in Norman.
According to a Facebook post from Norman City Council member Kate Bierman, similar graffiti was found at the Cleveland County Democratic Party and at McKinley Elementary school.
The vandalism comes a week after the Oklahoma Democratic Party headquarters in Oklahoma City, as well as the city's Chickasaw Nation office were vandalized with Nazi graffiti and white supremacist language.

California State University (CSU) agrees to landmark settlement to safeguard Jewish students' rights
The Lawfare Project and Winston & Strawn LLP today reached a landmark settlement in their lawsuits against the California State University (CSU) public university system.
The settlement in Volk v. Board of Trustees comes ahead of this month's scheduled trial for a lawsuit brought by two Jewish students who allege that San Francisco State University (SFSU) and the Board of Trustees of CSU discriminated against them.
"California State University’s public recognition that Zionism is an integral part of Jewish identity represents a major victory for Jewish students at SFSU and across the country. Today, we have ensured that SFSU will put in place important protections for Jewish and Zionist students to prevent continued discrimination. We are confident that this will change the campus climate for the better," said Brooke Goldstein, Executive Director of The Lawfare Project. "The Lawfare Project was proud to play a role in securing justice for Jewish and Zionist students at SFSU. We commend the student plaintiffs who showed the courage to stand up and advocate for their civil rights."

"Fuck Jews" can be interpreted as criticism of Israel
The public prosecutor's charge of rapper Kaveh for calling "fucking Jews" from a scene during a concert in Oslo last summer. The review was appealed, but now the Attorney General Tor Aksel Busch has rejected the appeal on the grounds that "fucking Jews" can be understood as Israel's criticism.
The exclamation thus becomes consistent free for the rapper.

Antisemitic Jewish caricatures paraded through UNESCO listed Belgian carnival
Spectators visiting the famous Aalst carnival in Belgium were shocked to find the depiction of orthodox Jews with unflattering expressions standing amongst sacks of money, paraded through the town.
The depiction of orthodox Jews with grimacing faces "brought back memories from Nazi propaganda leaflets and publications such as Der Stürmer from the 1930s," outraged spectators at the carnival told The Brussels Times.
Aalst mayor Christoph D'Haese is yet to comment on the incident.
In another part of the parade, a procession resembling the Ku Klux Klan were seen celebrating with town officials, in the presence Flemish nationalist politician Senator Guy D'haeseleer.

Elderly Jewish Londoner punched in face for being Jewish.
Eyewitness says assailant, in his thirties, first asked victim if he was Jewish before hitting him multiple times during unprovoked attack
An elderly Jewish man was assaulted by a younger man in the London Borough of Islington in what witnesses said was an anti-Semitic attack.
The assault happened on Tuesday afternoon at Highbury Corner. The attacker was in his thirties and had a shaved head, according to witnesses who spoke to the Islington Gazette.
The attacker asked the man, who is in his seventies, if he was Jewish before punching him in the face, causing the victim to bleed, one witness was quoted as saying. The attacker fled the scene. Police are investigating the incident, which did not result in life-threatening injuries.

Chris Williamson* MP "too apologetic' about antisemitism" has been suspended *UK Labour party
The Labour MP who said his party has been “too apologetic” over antisemitism has finally been suspended, following outrage from his colleagues in parliament.
Labour leaders had initially refused to suspend Mr Williamson for the comments, but after demands that the whip be removed from the MP – including from deputy leader Tom Watson – party chiefs backed down.
As well as a string of other senior party figures demanding action, almost 40 Labour MPs signed a letter calling for Mr Williamson to be suspended.
Critics and campaigners against antisemitism accused the party leadership of only finally acting against Mr Williamson after being forced into doing so by a public backlash.

Mural at LA Community Center Prompts Concern of Anti-Semitism (Grim Reaper, US Flag, Jewish stars)
A downtown mural is causing concern among Los Angeles organizations and leaders for its depiction of a grim reaper wrapped inside an American flag emblazoned with Jewish stars. The figure appears to be dangling a dead baby from its grip. Other imagery includes a war rocket, snakes and what looks like a pile of money.
The Los Angeles artist Vyal painted the mural. He said on his Instagram page in 2018 that it was inspired by a trip he had taken “to Palestine some years back.”
The mural appears on the exterior wall of the Vortex*, a performance space in an industrial neighborhood downtown.
Organizations that have expressed concern about the mural’s imagery include Progressive Zionists of the California Democratic Party, which shared a post on Facebook about it on Feb. 25.
“Hey The Vortex, Is this a real thing on your building? If yes, why? It’s wildly anti-Semitic. If not, you should probably clear up the confusion,” the organization said in the post, while tagging the Vortex’s Facebook page. “Signed, Some confused and concerned community members.”
