So the Horny Guy Who Said He Won’t Get a Fair Trial was wrong

Horny Guy Says He Won’t Get a Fair Trial

They cleaned him up....

And he got his fair trial, convicted of 3 murders.

That's fair.

A man sporting two rows of horns implanted into his forehead and a '666' tattoo has been convicted of murdering three men and chopping up their bodies today.
Caius Veiovis screamed at the Springfield jury that convicted him Friday, saying: 'I'll see you all in hell every f****** one of you. I'll see you all in hell.'
They had considered his case for the past week in Massachusetts.

Veiovis also was convicted of three counts of kidnapping and three counts of intimidation of a witness in the killings of David Glasser, Edward Frampton and Robert Chadwell.
Their remains were buried on private property in Becket.
The two other men charged in the killings have already been convicted.
Authorities say one of those co-defendants wanted Glasser dead so he couldn't testify against him in another case.
The others were killed to eliminate witnesses.

Hell, they deliberated for a week, how much more fair could he have wanted?

Peak Oil Guy: ExxonMobil finds oil in the Russian Arctic

Peak Oil?

ExxonMobil and its Russian partner reportedly have found oil in an Arctic well where drilling was to have stopped today but for a US extension granted to prevent a possible environmental accident

The oil was found at Universitetskaya, a 7,700-foot well in the Kara Sea that ExxonMobil’s partner, Rosneft, believes holds about 9 billion barrels of oil. The find seems certain to create tension with the US government, which two weeks ago slapped new sanctions on Russia that forbid US companies from participating in Russian Arctic drilling. Lobbied by Exxon, the Obama administration granted the company an extension through Oct. 10 in order to allow the safe cementing and abandonment of the well.

The company proceeded with the drilling, as Quartz noted late yesterday, and it struck oil, the Financial Times wrote today. If true, the find does not necessarily mean the field contains commercial volumes of oil. That will have to be determined in further drilling, in which ExxonMobil will be able to participate only if tension between the West and Russian president Vladimir Putin subsides, and the sanctions are eased.

ExxonMobil declined to comment on the report of the oil find.

Rosneft Says Exxon Arctic Well Strikes Oil

Russia, viewed by the Obama administration as hostile to U.S. interests, has discovered what may prove to be a vast pool of oil in one of the world’s most remote places with the help of America’s largest energy company.

Russia’s state-run OAO Rosneft (ROSN) said a well drilled in the Kara Sea region of the Arctic Ocean with Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) struck oil, showing the region has the potential to become one of the world’s most important crude-producing areas.

The announcement was made by Igor Sechin, Rosneft’s chief executive officer, who spent two days sailing on a Russian research ship to the drilling rig where the find was unveiled today. The well found about 1 billion barrels of oil and similar geology nearby means the surrounding area may hold more than the U.S. part of the Gulf or Mexico, he said.

“It exceeded our expectations,” Sechin said in an interview. This discovery is of “exceptional significance in showing the presence of hydrocarbons in the Arctic.”

Peyton Manning Infers Pizza Business Is 'Good' in Colorado Due to Legalization

In a recent sit-down with Sports Illustrated's Peter King, Peyton Manning more or less admitted that Colorado’s decision to legalize marijuana has been a huge boon for his pizza stores.

Weeks before the state passed a legalization amendment in 2012, the Broncos quarterback began snapping up Papa John’s franchises in the Denver area. The move prompted even the most casual observer to deduce that Peyton, a wily old fox, had bought the stores to capitalize on the impending munchies boom that would sweep the state.(snip)

You try to know who you’re voting for…I’ve gotten to know some of the folks here in Colorado. There’s some different laws out here in Colorado. Pizza business is pretty good out here, believe it or not, due to some recent law changes. So when you come to a different place, you’ve kind of got to learn everything that comes with it.

So, is Manning pro-‘Dro? Certainly he’d never personally conspire with the devil’s cabbage, but judging by the soaring sales his stores have experienced, he’s probably not against it.

After all, as TMZ noted in 2013, the 21 Papa John’s stores owned by Manning raked in record sales in the post-legalization period, registering a 25 percent profit increase at one location.

Apparently weed does not promote good taste.

Pot smokers eating dog crap pizza and lining the pockets of a couple of red-neck millionaires.

Governor: Suspend Adrian Peterson

MINNEAPOLIS -- The governor of Minnesota has joined the chorus of those calling for the Minnesota Vikings to suspend running back Adrian Peterson.

Mark Dayton -- who spearheaded the legislative fight for the Vikings' new $1 billion stadium and stood next to team owner Zygi Wilf at the groundbreaking in November -- released a statement on Tuesday saying he believes the Vikings should take Peterson off the field until his child abuse case is resolved in Montgomery County, Texas.

From the Dayton family compound on exclusive Lake Minnetonka the Guv finally "doesn't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows". *a not so obscure Mn reference*

Unfortunately it's after ramrodding a billion dollar stadium through the legislature for the carpetbagging, and allegedly corrupt, New Jersey real estate developer team owner Zygi Wilf, thereby quadrupling Wilf's original investment.

Way to go out on a limb there Mark.

Tens of Thousands March Against War in New York, Washington

NEW YORK – Anti-war activists marched again Saturday in dozens of cities, marshaling well over 100,000 in Manhattan and sometimes trading insults with backers of the U.S.-led war on Iraq. War backers rallied too, often by the thousands, with American flags and chants of "USA!"

In Chicago, some of about 800 troop supporters came within 20 feet of a small group of anti-war activists outside a federal building. As the protesters shouted "killers, killers, killers," a military backer yelled back "idiots, idiots, idiots." Later, about 500 anti-war protesters marched around the same building.

Carrying peace signs and wearing costumes, demonstrators in New York spanned 30 blocks as they marched down Broadway toward Washington Square Park. Unofficial police estimates put the crowd at more than 125,000; United for Peace and Justice, the march organizers, estimated the crowd at more than 250,000.

"I believe if you really want to show `shock and awe,' you should show love and justice," said marcher Bob Edgar, an officer at the National Council of Churches.

Carol Laverne wore a pair of angel's wings and carried a sign saying "Thou shall not kill." Susan Sonz and her 9-year-old son, Ruben, came to the march from their home near the World Trade Center ground zero site. The boy carried a sign saying, "Ground Zero kids against the war."

"We don't want to see more innocent people die," Sonz said.

Some celebrities joined in, including actors Roy Scheider, Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, and singer Patti Smith.

"We support the troops, but we do not support the president," said Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., a Korean War veteran.

Sotloff's parents told they could be prosecuted for paying ransom to IS

Source: Yahoo news

The parents of murdered journalist Steven Sotloff were told by a White House counterterrorism official at a meeting last May that they could face criminal prosecution if they paid ransom to try to free their son, a spokesman for the family told Yahoo News Friday night.

"The family felt completely and utterly helpless when they heard this," said Barak Barfi, a friend of Sotloff who is serving as a spokesman for his family. "The Sotloffs felt there was nothing they could do to get Steve out."

The journalist's father, Art, was "shaking" after the meeting with the official, who works for the National Security Council, Barfi said. The families of three other hostages being held by the militant group Islamic State were also at the White House meeting, sources told Yahoo News.

The Sotloff family issued their statement after Diane Foley, the mother of murdered journalist James Foley, told ABC News that her family took statements by the White House counterterrorism official about legal bars to paying ransom as a "threat, and it was appalling. ... We were horrified he would say that. He just told us we would be prosecuted."

The Sotloffs “heard the same thing the Foleys did,” Barfi said in his statement to Yahoo News.

Well if this isn't a WTF moment.

There is a White House official whose head had better roll. I don't care how high up it goes.
