ghostsinthemachine's Journal"AFTER MARCH" radio town hall tonight, 6 PM PST
Tonight will be hosting a townhall about what comes next. Everyone, left, right, middle has been invited to participate. Yes it is coming from a small mostly conservative Northern town, but the radio station is very liberal. These town hall are very creative and this one should shed some light on what we should be doing, and what we shouldn't be doing as well, no matter where you live.
Listen in. Have your own town hall. Most of us have a community radio station that might host one. Or do one on public access TV. Or one without, but remember to invite the media to your event. All public libraries have meeting rooms you can use for free.
www.kvmr.org. https://www.kvmr.org. The station rocks anyways. Great music. Great news both local and worldwide. Democracy Now. BBC. Jazz shows. Bluegrass shows. Grateful Dead shows. Old radio shows shows. I love community radio.

Strange. Immigrants and voter fraud....
Something very strange is going on. A friend (who is a permanent resident/green card holder) received a letter from the the town clerk saying that he was now registered to vote, which is weird because he has never registered to vote! He has always known that he isn't allowed to vote until he becomes a US citizen.
I looked online and discovered it's a crime to register to vote as a non-citizen and could result in deportation.
There was a Voter Registration Certificate included with the letter which named the DMV as the agency who registered him. So my friend called the DMV. The person who spoke with him there said they've been getting many calls about this from other people with the same issue and that these calls just started this week. Their records show that my friend hasn't visited the DMV since a few years ago and they don't know how he became registered to vote.
The date on the registration certificate says he registered to vote on January 23rd, 2017.
The DMV told him he should call the city and get his name removed from the registered voter list ASAP, which he did. Considering the date of his supposed registration, and considering the travel ban and everything else that has already happened with the new administration, including all the claims about massive voter fraud, we are suspicious that this event could be a ploy to deport legal residents who supposedly fraudulently registered to vote.

Well, scientific findings recently published in Frontiers in Pharmacology may have cleared up that mystery once and for all. Preliminary investigations by medical researchers from McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Tufts University indicate that pot use improves cognitive performance.
Cognitive performance, no need to tell you, is our ability to utilize the knowledge acquired by mental processes in our brains. In other words, perform tasks that require thinking, as in to be so goddamn smart.

A Pilot Study Assessing the Impact of Medical Marijuana on Executive Function tracked 24 certified medical-marijuana patients over a three-month dosing period. The patients were repeatedly measured for cognitive proficiency through challenges to the intelligence that included the Stroop Color Word Test and Trail Making Test.

Fukushima reactor #2 pressure vessel breached, "unimaginable levels of radiation"
Radiation levels inside a damaged reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station are at their highest since the plant suffered a triple meltdown almost six years ago.
The facilitys operator, Tokyo Electric Power (Tepco), said atmospheric readings as high as 530 sieverts an hour had been recorded inside the containment vessel of reactor No 2,...
The recent reading, described by some experts as unimaginable, is far higher than the previous record of 73 sieverts an hour in that part of the reactor.
A single dose of one sievert is enough to cause radiation sickness and nausea; 5 sieverts would kill half those exposed to it within a month, and a single dose of 10 sieverts would prove fatal within weeks.
Tepco also said image analysis had revealed a hole in metal grating beneath the same reactors pressure vessel. The one-metre-wide hole was probably created by nuclear fuel that melted and then penetrated the vessel after the tsunami knocked out Fukushima Daiichis back-up cooling system....
Not too much to add to this. They are not saying that the core has escaped the containment vessel and are claiming that no radiation has escaped the reactor, but later in the article admit that they dont really know where the core is. If it is true that radiation levels are rising, that is probably not a good thing.

Trump vows to "destroy laws" that prohibit political actions by churches
Sorry i can't copy the article, for some reason the NYT won't let me do that.
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/02/us/politics/trump-johnson-amendment-political-activity-churches.html
Anyway T is interesting here because all churches will then be able to work that way. Muslims. Jews. Buddhists. And especially, the majority of Christian churches that do not support the Orange one.
Trump Brownshirts Led By JAMES OKEEFE Maul 2 Nonviolent Activists
Last night, two activists investigating Project Veritas, the sting operation ran by Breitbart associate James OKeefe, were assaulted, allegedly by OKeefes security team. Both were hospitalized and being treated for serious injuries.
OKeefe was one of the featured speakers for a group of right-wing celebrities who call themselves Friends of Abe. According to Ryan Clayton, one of the victims of the assault, the altercation ensued during OKeefes speech. After boasting about his relationship with Trump, including details from a phone call between he and Trump shortly after the election, OKeefe invited attendees to the stage to share similar stories. The victim proceeded to the stage, where OKeefe handed him the microphone. When the victim began roasting OKeefe, an OKeefe associate attacked him from behind and began choking him.
My neck popped six times, said Clayton, and I couldnt breathe. I honestly thought I was going to die.
At least three additional attackers jumped in on the assault, punching and kicking the victim repeatedly. They then threw the him down a wooden staircase, at which point the victim was able to escape the venue.
OKeefe posted numerous tweets about the incident, including one with video following the incident:. http://usuncut.news/2017/01/30/trump-brownshirts-led-by-james-okeefe-maul-2-nonviolent-activists-video/
My heart feels really good right now (Facebook is awesome)
Seeing all the protests, all over the country. Boston in Copley square, others at airports.
I wish light rail went to my airport, I'd be there. ,(Sacramento).
Let's build the wall! Aren't public works projects good?
All the prevailing wage jobs. The local suppliers. Contractors. The economy around the region would boom. Hell even taco trucks would flourish. All those tax dollars going to create tons of well paying jobs.(when you talk like this, wall supporters all of a sudden aren't so supportive. They hate brick layers making 50 dollars an hour more than they hate "illegals" all of a sudden.).
