60 Vote rule

I had a Trumper go off on me saying the media is ignoring the fact that trumpf is correct when he told Pelosi that he needed 60 votes in the Senate. This is regarding today's slugfest at the Whitehouse. I thought that the rethugs threw that rule out the window.

Need a civics lesson here regarding this rule.
Either now during a lame duck session of the house or after Jan. 3rd can they get wall funding passed?
Or is the idiot correct? Please tell me no.

Proof of citizenship

How many of you can readily produce proof that they are an American citizen? I went without a birth certificate for over ten years. Got a new one when I started the process of adoption. I used a service that cost about 5 or 10 dollars. It appears our right to vote means less than the right to own firearms. Very indicative of the screwed up priorities of so many of people in this country. Sad.

Democratic response

Why was the Nunes so widely covered but the Democratic response just came and went?
I have barely seen any detailed coverage even by MSNBC about the nuts and bolts of this. I know it was heavily redacted but not much else as far as detailed content. It's not that I cannot find details of the memo but that the relative silence of the press is troublesome.

The Election Day DU hack

Unless I missed something here which is always a possibility, was the source of the hack and subsequent site shutdown ever determined?
I cannot get past the possibility that this was done to help cover that election systems in a number of states including mine (Florida)
were compromised. Plenty of evidence that the election systems in a large number of states were breached by the Russians but authorities are just too quick to claim that results were not affected. It been shown repeatedly that many voting systems can be hacked without leaving and evidence of the hacker's actions.

I still remember getting home from work on election day and tuning in MSNBC to watch results.
Hillary was ahead with a small lead in Florida and as noted by the hyper Steve Kornacki the counties that still had not reported in leaned Blue including Dade made the outcome favorable to Hillary.
But 2 hours later trump and a 1% lead.
I went to visit DU only to find it down. I had been visiting earlier to get feedback on election results and it was like losing
my connection with reality.
I still smell a rat in all this.
Even if it is proven that some results were tampered with I know many deplorables would not believe it or care but maybe
more of the general public will demand this corrupt administration will be held accountable.
So am getting too paranoid in my old age or what?
