WaPo: Clinton’s support erodes sharply among Democratic women

Clinton’s support erodes sharply among Democratic women:

The numbers in a new Washington Post-ABC News poll are an alarm siren: Where 71 percent of Democratic-leaning female voters said in July that they expected to vote for Clinton, only 42 percent do now, a drop of 29 percentage points in eight weeks.

In the survey, Clinton received markedly higher support from nonwhite Democratic-leaning women, 60 percent of whom were behind her as their party’s nominee. By comparison, only 37 percent of white Democratic women said they would vote for her.

Maya Chenevert, a community-college student, originally hoped that she would be casting her first vote in a presidential election for Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). With Warren taking a pass on 2016, Chenevert now thinks that Sanders offers her the greatest hope of someday being able to afford the schooling it will take to achieve her dream of becoming a physician assistant.

Bloomberg: 11% of Democrats would never vote for Clinton

What's Behind Hillary Clinton's Drop in the Polls?:

Like Donald Trump in the Republican field, Clinton has become the most polarizing candidate for members of her own party. Eleven percent of Democrats polled in an August Quinnipiac University survey said they would never vote for her, the most for any Democratic candidate. Worse, “liar” was the first word that came to mind when respondents were asked what they thought of Clinton, according to the poll. In part, that result from the way Clinton has comported herself on the campaign trail, especially in a year when voters seem to crave outsiders.

25 Reasons to Vote for Bernie Sanders Over Hillary Clinton

Interesting read from H.A. Goodman. Too many of the 25 are server related. Not that I don't think it's a valid issue, but seems like he's repeating himself to get to 25.

My favorite:

7. Bernie Sanders has advocated breaking up the banks and reinstating a Glass-Steagall Act. Clinton does not advocate either policy objective.

It's no secret that Wall Street is in Hillary Clinton's corner and few believe the populist rhetoric from the former Secretary of State. Bernie Sanders, however, is a genuine reformer who eagerly takes on the "billionaire class."

Clinton cedes the mantle of "Progressive" to Sanders

Hillary Clinton:

You know, I get accused of being kind of moderate and center. I plead guilty. I think sometimes it’s important when you’re in the elected arena you try to figure out how do you bring people together to get something done rather than standing on opposite sides yelling at each other.

Bernie Sanders (in response):

I am somebody who for the last thirty years has stood up and fought for working families, I've taken on virtually every special interest in the country from Wall Street to the drug companies. I am a proud progressive.
