For every million uninsured, about 1,000 die

So Paul Ryan's plan is to quietly commit about eight 9/11s per year on the American people by 2026 or about 186,000 Americans dead due to a lack of healthcare by 2026 under Trumpcare.

Trump must think this is a smart plan because dead people can't vote. Or maybe he'll claim they're voting illegally from the grave.

They're going to kill some people

I've felt that since long before the election.

February 19, 2017

For most of his life, he's had money, corporate power and all the women he wanted

for Golden Showers or whatever he could buy.

I think the only thing left to entertain this mentally sick animal is the power and rush for killing people. I think he would get off on it and he can't wait.

Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan are loving the circus distraction while they do what they can to dismantle things like Obamacare, Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, environmental protection, taxation of the wealthy, etc, etc. So there are the domestic perils of their platform that will kill many Americans while Trump stumbles daily trying to remain in office.

But the rest of the world is sitting back, plotting how to take advantage of this blood thirsty buffoon. He wants to push the buttons of military might and the longer he is in office, the more likely it is that he will. Unchecked, I think he's going to kill a bunch of Americans. This idiot could be duped into World War III.

Bloomberg: The FBI Wants to Make America Great Again

https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2016-11-03/the-fbi-wants-to-make-america-great-again
It’s not just that FBI Director James Comey informed Congress that there may be things on Anthony Weiner’s computer pertinent to his investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server. Nor is it the extraordinary Wall Street Journal coverage this week that revealed frustrations in the bureau over alleged Justice Department pressure to slow-walk an investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

The cherry on this banana-republic split is a tweet published Monday from a long-dormant Twitter account called @FBIRecordsVault. It disclosed that new records of the bureau’s probe into Bill Clinton’s pardon of Marc Rich had been released because of a Freedom of Information Act request.
...
Comey appears to have done his best to stay out of the election, but he is in the middle of it now. Through leaks and tweets, people in his bureau appear to be helping Donald Trump -- a man who has called for Clinton to be jailed. Ironic that Trump is the one who keeps saying the election will be rigged.

I'm sure a number around here have been having some similar feelings.

Bloomberg: Tracking the 2016 Presidential Money Race

Sometimes looking at where the ad money is being spent and where the candidates are campaigning gives one a sense of where the two sides feel they're competitive. I think Nate Silver incorporates some of this in his analysis. I was curious and wanted to get my head around the money side of the campaign. This is a pretty good comprehensive report. I didn't see it linked recently (sorry of I missed it in my search)

It does show ads dollar by state. But Trump apparently has given up VA so you have to take things like that into consideration when you look at the numbers. He's only spent around 50% of what she has for all his big money bluster (bullshit).

Clinton
Total Raised to Date . . . . . . . $1,068.1M
Total Spent . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. $897.7M
Total Cash on Hand .. . . . . . . . . $171.6M

Media Buy . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $237.4M 53.3%

Trump
Total Raised to Date . . . . . . . . . $512.2M
Total Spent . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $429.5M
Total Cash on Hand . . . . . . . . . . . $83.9M

Media Buy . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $68.0M 27.4%

Hillary has clobbered the billionaire any way you look at it when it comes to campaign money.

That $100 mil Trump promised (if he really had it) could have come in handy.

That's the one positive of the Comey letter. It might entice the jerk to waste some of his own money.

Post Tortoise

A resident in my mother's retirement home sent this to my sister:

While stitching a cut on the hand of an ageing farmer, the doctor struck up a conversation with his patient. Needless to say, eventually the topic got around to Donald Trump ... and his role as the Republican Nominee for President.

The farmer said, " Well, as I see it, Donald Trump is like a 'Post Tortoise'.''

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post tortoise' was. His patient replied, "When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a tortoise balanced on top, that's a post tortoise."

He saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so continued to explain. "You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he's elevated beyond his ability to function, and you just wonder what kind of nitwit put him up there in the first place.

I think it's an older political joke that has been recirculated with Trump added but it worked for me ..

Even Trump’s Kids Haven’t Donated to His Campaign

No Ivanka. No Donald Jr. No Rudy, Newt, or Chris Christie. None of Trump’s inner circle invested in his campaign—even as he asked working people for a few bucks.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/10/27/even-trump-s-kids-haven-t-donated-to-his-campaign.html

Ivanka Trump, who previously contributed to Hillary Clinton and John McCain in 2007 and 2008 respectively, does not appear to have given to her father.

Donald Trump Jr., who contributed to Iowa congressman Steve King in 2014 and Hillary Clinton in 2007, is also nowhere to be found.

And a search for Tiffany Trump yielded no results.

The Trump children are not the only prominent figures in his orbit who have not invested in the mogul’s presidential bid.

Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the former Defense Intelligence Agency director turned Trump warm-up act, has not given the candidate a dime. Neither has Governor Chris Christie, Trump’s first rival for the presidency to endorse him. Christie gave his own campaign the maximum allowable contribution of $2,700 on Sept. 29, 2015.
...
Newt Gingrich contributed $4,600 to John McCain in 2008 but has yet to give any money to Trump’s campaign. Ben Carson, another staunch Trump defender, gave Mitt Romney $1,000 in April 2012 but nothing to Trump this cycle.

I'm sure they'll come up with some sort of spin ... trying to hide the embarrassment.
