I listened to a Dem strategist this morning.
He was saying that the era of Trump is making the electorate even more polarized.

He said that Trumpers are becoming almost exclusively white males over 40 with no college degree
He said the older and more rural and more religious they are, the more likely they are to be a Trumper.

College educated suburban women under 40 that once identified as strongly Repub are abandoning the party because of their dislike for Trump. Many won’t vote Dem but just won’t vote.
Unmarried women under 40 are almost all Dems or Independents now.

The hold your nose 👃 voters are starting to struggle more and more with Trump.
They know he is a liar and they think he is an embaassment. They hate his trade policy and cozying up to Russia.
These are the wealthy, educated Repubs who hate Trump personally but they love lower taxes and business regulations and business friendly corporate Judge Nominations.
These people are now open to voting for a pro business type moderate Dem such as Phil Bredesen in Tennessee.

Paul Ryan and Maxine Waters

I know Ryan is weak.
I know he cow tows
I know he prob wants a media or lobbyist job after retiring.
But, this thing with Trump and Waters has gone far enuf.
Ryan as Speaker has a responsibility to defend all House members from such attacks.
Ryan needs to publicly, or at least privately, tell Trump to knock it off.
It’s beyond the pale for a Prez and a leading member of the House.

When will the "Russian coincidences" stop being coincidental?

Trump needing money from Russian banks, oligarchs?
Wanting hotels in Russia?
Beauty pageants in Russia.
A Russian/Ukrainian mobster Manafort who was Trumps manager who changed the GOP platform.
Trumps obsession with Putin. No transcript of meetings in Helsinki.
Oval Office meeting with Russians. Why?
GOP Congressmen traveling to Moscow. Why?
Russian connections to the NRA thru a female spy who uses sex.
Seriously?
Can this really just All be coincidence or something much more nefarious on both sides of the equation?
And, what’s up with all of the former Russian hawks in the GOP that now sound like borscht lovers?
Will we ever know what’s happened and is still happening before it’s too late??

The completely disgusting Trump lackey GOP House Rep Marsha Blackburn won her primary last night in Tennessee. She will now face former two time popular Tenn Gov Dem Phil Bredesen in The general to replace retiring Bob Corker in the U S Senate.
Yes, Bredesen may be a little busy friendly for more progressive Dems like me. But, he’s as liberal as you can get in Tenn and still win. And, Blackburn is as far right economically and socially as they come. She completely backs Trump. Google any of her speeches or commercials.

Self described rootin tootin redneck nra lover Brian Kemp is the current Sec of State. He has been all about voter suppression against people of color. And, now, ironically enough, he will face a black woman in November. Georgia state Rep Stacey Abrams is vying to become the nations first black female Governor. Kemp’s tv ads show him teaching a teenager all about using shotguns. He is fully backed by Trump. Stacey is an unabashed progressive who has worked to increase voter registration.

The arbitrary September deadlines for Mueller/Kavanaugh make me sick.

So, let me get this straight....
The GOP says they must get an up or down vote on Kavanaugh by September before their fall recess and before the fall SCOTUS session. They say that just must happen to save the Republic just like we had to wait 11 months to replace Scalia because (oh, the Biden rule).

And, let me get this straight....
The DOJ says it must not release Muellers report if it is completed between September and November.
Because?..... that’s their tradition before elections....unless it isn’t (Comeys Hillary statement eleven days before 2016 election).

So, basically the rules are rules except when they aren’t (and they just happen to help the GOP and hurt the Dems). Yep. That’s completely fair and balanced and acceptable.

If I’m wrong, please tell me.
I feel like Up is down and down is up with the political world right now.
I feel like all of the crooks and crazies are in charge and we sane people are helpless.
Maybe November 6th will turn things around. That’s really all we have.

None of them are quite there YET.
But a few are starting to question SOME of what he says.

Russia comes down to either "willful colluder" or "useful idiot".

There is now way more than enough out there to show that there are really only two ways that things went with Trump himself and Russia.


A - (THE WILLFUL COLLUDER) He has had an ongoing relationship with Oligarchs and various Russians for years. He has always wanted to do business with them. He most probably has done so by accepting or borrowing or laundering money. His not so latent admiration for Putin (and all dictatorial types) has also fueled his fascination with Russia. Therefore, he was either courted as an asset and eventually a Presidential candidate by the Russians or when he decided to run, he did so knowing that he could count on them for their direct help in the GOP primaries and later the General. This is a proactive Trump who sought out and accepted Russian help.

B - (THE USEFUL IDIOT) In this option, it’s the Russians who sought out Trump as an asset. They used his need for money and alienation from American banks to court him. They used his narcissism and possibly his sexual proclivities to blackmail him. He knew that he was getting their help in the election but he tried to keep some sort of deniability by keeping buffers like Flynn, Manafort, Stone, etc. in place, for the most part. However, he made some major errors like inviting Russians into the Oval Office and blatantly asking them publicly for help (the “Russia if you’re listening 👂 statement” being the biggest mistake).

Both options are horrendous for our country. But, it’s hard to see what else could have happened.
I don’t know how you define them legally. Treasonous? Traitorous? Conspiracy? Accepting foreign money and help in an election?

Hopefully, Mueller has everything he needs to prove his case, one way or the other.
And, hopefully, he can do that soon.

It’s only our entire democratic republic that’s at stake.

Marketing idea for the DCCC.

With pro and college football season almost upon us, many people nationwide will start driving around with car flags showing the logos of their favorite team.

I have an idea for our party to do the same thing leading up to November.
What if we created a car flag that has a donkey riding a big blue wave 🌊.
One side of the car flag could have the donkey on the wave and the other would say VOTE DEM.
The National Dem party and state parties could sell them and/or give some to volunteers who canvass and phone bank.
Could also have Blue Wave bumper stickers.

Good idea?
If so, someone with contacts at the National party office please pass it along to someone there who could make it happen.
