Why do I have a maximum donation amount?

After Citizens United, when one of the results was that corporations could give unlimited amounts of money (do I have that right?)... why is it the case that I am still limited in the amount of money I can give Hillary for this campaign?

Unfortunately, this is a theoretical question, since I'm not in danger of going over my limit.

Please modify HillaryClinton.com

I've noted this before. There are several places where you get on a page and there's no way to get out except back arrow. If you're a leaning voter, not fully committed, that might make you so mad you want to see if Bernie's site is less coercive. The two places I bumped into today were after I donated som money, they wanted me to make it a recurring gift. I didn't want to. Then when I committed to vote (I've always been committed and have given much money, but only recently decided to see how the internet campaign worked and actually signed up at the web site)... anyway, after I committed to vote my only options were to learn about voting and something else, I forget. It feels like really bad, stupid web design or scary ignorance about what might tick people off.

If you've experienced this, wait til tomorrow and then kick it up every few hours in hopes that someone in a position to take action will see it. I'd rather this not show up in Greatest Threads. Nothing I can do about Latest Threads.

I'm torn.

I find myself sort of wishing that Marco Rubio will get the GOP nomination, simply because I don't like the idea of living in a country where a major party would nominate Donald Trump. On the other hand, I think Trump would be a lot easer for Hillary to beat in a general election. What are you wishing for?

For anyone who finds themselves tilting....

...toward Hillary, but aren't quite convinced.

Hillary group members, if you'll recommend this 5 times it will show up in Greatest Threads. If you reply in a few hours, more people in Hillary Clinton will see it. It's terrific! I checked the poster's history, and has no history of Hillary support that I could find.

Xpost from GDP - Who are the Hillary supporters?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511284071

Elsewhere in this forum there is talk about the Clinton campaign's effort to encourage more social media participation among its supporters. I responded that one reason is because of the age difference. But I want to go further. There's a lot of Bernie noise on this web site, but that doesn't mean that Bernie supporters are the only ones out there. Most people I know are Hillary supporters. Others are on the fence. Some are Sanders supporters, but not because they think Hillary is a liar. I don't personally know a single person who thinks that.

Don't respond "look at the polls." I'm not saying that Democrats aren't more and more evenly divided. Iowa was a split. There was NH, but there will be the south. I'm saying that the tone of this website is misleading. And I encourage the Hillary supporters who "stay out of GDP" to remember that and take heart.

How does she do it?

I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling occasionally frustrated that I don't know what the Clinton campaign's answer is to this or that new allegation. Just a couple of weeks ago, I thought FINALLY, when a spokesperson explained a missing piece for me. He pointed out that there is an inter-agency disagreement (state and defense) because Hillary's e-mails are destined to be made public, and they sometimes have different standards for what they now wish to keep from the public. A small point that maybe most people understood. Still, I was glad to hear it explained.

And then I got involved in this website and saw first hand the enormous flood of distortions and baseless allegations that are flung at Hillary. I see much better now why she mostly declines to discuss them. It would take up all her time. It's mind boggling. I expect the campaign has well-honed procedures whereby they determine that something has gained enough momentum that it needs to be addressed. Procedures honed over decades. Remember when the allegation was being made that she killed Vince Foster????

How does she do it? It certainly works out in my mind as a strong recommendation for her having the grit and poise to be President!

Note: I recommend TruthorFiction.com as a place to get a clear story.
