Trump will not attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner. WHO CARES????? nt

White House Correspondebts' dinner flap.

I wish CNN would just spend 30 seconds on it once an hour. It doesn't even rate that, but I guess we Americans "deserve to know." This is a way to fight back at Trump's ridiculous distractions from important stuff. As our mommies told us, "Just ignore them."

Wolf Blitzer nails it.

Energizing report on how Wolf Blitzer really pressed TN Republican about her lies about attendance at town hall.

Supposed journalists had done their job like this in 2010, Obamacare would have been better. Had they done this type of journalism in 2016, there would be no Trump.

What a nice change, to watch Dems on TV most of the day...

...instead of reports about idiot Tweets and outright lies.

Democrats are, on the whole, just nicer people.

Do you find this to be the case? Not 100%, but in general?

Did anyone understand why they used paper ballots at the DNC meeting?

Donna B said something about WiFi and a "system tested this morning." Not sure what system was tested in the a.m. Do they have software for voting that required cell phones and they feared an overload on the WiFi? Or maybe hacking?

Just curious.

More Obama pick-me-up pictures.

Would this help?

Equinox Moon posted about a depressing Democratic committee meeting. I composed this response but I now see that it's been self deleted. So I'll start a new post.

I'm a big fan of ItStarts.Today. This is an organization that collects monthly pledges in amounts that can be divided equally by 468. As of a week ago they had collected 300,000. Since this is for candidates in 2018 one can assume they will collect a lot more. What if your low energy Dems suddenly were handed a donation much bigger than they're used to? Would that trigger some activity on behalf of your candidate? Maybe get the word out that Dems live via stepped up PR?

Maybe yes, maybe no, but I do have visions of 15 Dems in Wyoming deciding to run a candidate and buy 5 times as much PR as normal and then other Dems coming out of the woodwork, maybe to build a critical mass, maybe to win in 2020.

What do you think?

Have there been any leaks yet about the meeting between Comey and the Intelligence Comittee?

What is the Paul Ryan argument...

... about medical costs upwards of a million dollars, which is totally possible in this era of high tech medicine, when he pushes medical savings accounts? Are they supposed to be in addition to insurance for small things (in which case it doesn't address the ACA question at all), or just.... "save a million dollars?"

This is not a rhetorical question. I want to know what they enemy's position is.
