Ooops!

Since this morning FiveThirtyEight has seriously reversed. I'm sure glad I got the info about how to find out about their methods from you folks earlier today. What has happened is that two polls that are much closer to voting day show Sanders winning. The polls are not only close, but probably have good reliability. I only see one in RealClearPolitics from today, and that's PPP. Don't know what the other is... Oh dear.

Is there a place on www.FiveThirtyEight.com where...

.... they explain what goes into their Polls+ numbers? Right now it's Wisconsin 64 for Hillary, 36 for Sanders, while the polls alone is 44 for Hillary and 56 for Sanders.

I'm glad 538 is visited only by junkies, because I'd really fear another Michigan if everyone believed the polls+ estimate.

Let's hear it for The Establishment

I find myself tiptoing around, trying to figure out ways to "talk" without seeming to support The Establishment. But, I realized, I DO support The Establishment. I support the structures set up in our amazing constitution that give us the means to improve the lives of everyone with progress from generation to generation. (Let's hope it holds up this go around.) I am impressed by and grateful to scores of people who have served as presidents, members of congress and supreme court justices, not to say those who have kept things going and often improving at the state and local levels. Amazing people have preceded us in this leader country of ours, to progress for equality.

Do I think we're not in a slump right now, regarding equality? No. Of course the income gap is growing wider. We need to keep working to reverse it. But we CAN reverse it.

Do I think everyone in public office is to be admired? No, of course not. I'm not an idiot.

Do I think anyone in public office is perfect? No, of course not.

You know what? Bernie Sanders, as a long serving mayor and senator is part of The Establishment!!!!

So I ask the anti-establishment crowd. What's your alternative? Anarchy???

I tweeted my first tweet ever!

I tweeted to support this Hillary tweet that got me really excited, because it expressed my opinion so well. When I went to twitter (on my laptop), I saw that almost none of Hillary's millions of supporters had responded. So I did. I said, "Perfect tweet! POTUS will HAVE to work with "The Establishment" to get anything done!!" I try to do my bit to create a Hillary presence in GDP and Facebook.... Oh, dear... Am I going to take on Twitter too??? I'll NEVER get anything done.... Which is, I suppose why Hillary supporters are not such a presence in social media. They're out GETTING THINGS DONE!!!

P.S. How come sometimes URLs will display the content in question, and sometimes only the URL? This seems to display only the URL.

The age gap.

Does anyone have advice for me? I feel completely paralyzed when it comes to talking to young Sanders supporters, because I think that regardless of the subject, my views would be dismissed simply because of my age. Like it's adolescents and their parents all over again. So is the only thing to do just stay quiet?

Why has there been so little (no??) discussion...

... of a possible Michigan replay when talking about the polls and future primaries? Do we yet understand what went wrong with the pollsters?
