Who can tell me some things regarding the

New legislation passed?

Will people be able to delay April rent/mortgage payments?

Will people be able to have credit card payments delayed without penalties?

What about car payments?

Utilites?

Will credit ratings be unaffected?

I tried googling but just wasn't able to find the specifics...

Any answers and/or links that are clear and to the point (if available) is very much appreciated

Thank you and I hope you guys are doing okay.

David Wilcock...

Please help me! A friend of mine who has NO critical thinking skills (but who I love very much) thinks this guy has "inside information." She's proudly "non-political" and I've considered our friendship over the years but she's been there for me and I for her in many situations. We're both into what I call "new age" spiritually.

She's listened to this guy, David Wilcock, over the years. I've never paid any attention to him at all because I know she has a whole conspiracy theory mindset that I've suspected isn't in alignment with mine.

We spoke earlier today and she was telling me about his recent talk about COVID-19 (from a video I guess from his home). I ended up listening to it and he was spouting off what sounded like "right-wing" talking points...

Have any of you heard of this guy? If so, what are your thought?

Kamala Harris...A friend told me she thought she heard

(she didn't remember any details) that Kamala Harris has said she wouldn't be a V.P. candidate. Have any of you heard that?

We need to flood Chief John Roberts' office with calls....

I'm watching a clip of Chuck Schumer on Rachel and he has asked for Roberts' intervention since dt's now directing Barr to interfere with the Roger Stone sentencing. Schumer said that in the past Justice Roberts has spoken out in defense of the independence of the Judicial Branch.

If I can, I'll try to get through to The Stephanie Miller Show in the morning with a number for people to call....

Do any of you have what you think the best number to call would be?

This morning's Washington Journal ...Thedore Johnson....."Black Voters and Campaign 2020"

I don't know anything about this man. I just woke up early and turned on CSPAN and he was on. He's with The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law as a Senior Fellow.

Among other things, he was discussing "myths about black voters".

He said that one myth is that black voters won't elect a gay candidate. He said that the lack of support for Buttigieg isn't because of his sexuality and went on to discuss the other reasons that Buttigieg is polling between 0 - 3%. He continued by saying that black voters elected a black gay woman for Mayor of Chicago. He then said that one pastor said "If she had kissed her partner in a black church she probably would've been asked to leave but we supported her anyway because her sexuality doesn't matter to us when it comes to politics." WHAT!!!!!????????? Would the pastor have asked a straight man to leave if he kissed his straight wife?!?!?!?

I tried to call but couldn't get through.

(Go to the 3:30 where he starts talking about Buttigieg until around 4:40)

Sam Jones - Off Camera - Yes!

I love this show. Sam is a photographer/director who has a weekly show where he conducts interesting and in-depth interviews with celebrities (actors, comedians, musicians, etc.).

Tonight, his show was a compilation of the best parts of the various interviews. But that wasn't the AWESOME part.

The very beginning showed that his guest tonight was Santa Clause. So Sam welcomes him just as he does all of his guests and Santa (in essence) says that the set was drab and said he wanted to bring in some Christmas spirit. (The show is filmed in black and white) So Santa snaps his fingers and everything turns to color along with Christmas decorations. Sam then sees that Santa is gone but has left a note. The note says, (paraphrasing) Sorry I couldn't stay but I had to leave to deliver a big sack of coal to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I love it!

The show isn't political as the purpose is to discuss the various careers, movies, lives, etc. of the guests. I just loved it that Sam made a statement!

I've emailed him before letting him know how much I enjoy his show and that I write on the side and am inspired by him and his guests. He emailed me back thanking me and was as sweet as he could be.

I'm going to email him now to let him know I LOVED to hear that Santa is delivering coals to someone who most assuredly deserves it.

A big thank you to Dick's Sporting Goods!

Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. reported earnings and sales that beat expectations on Tuesday, which CFRA’s Camilla Yanushevsky attributes, in part, to the retailer’s pullback on gun sales. The results sent shares soaring 18.6% in Tuesday trading, en route to the third biggest one-day percentage gain since Dick’s Sporting Goods DKS, -1.88% went public. Same-store sales growth of 6% was the best showing since 2013, according to the athletic retailer.

During a media tour for his book, “It’s How We Play the Game,” Dick’s Sporting Goods Chief Executive Edward Stack talked about the decisions the company has made with relation to its gun business. The policy changes started in 2012 after the Sandy Hook shootings.

Following the Feb. 14, 2018 mass killing at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., Dick’s Sporting Goods stopped selling guns to customers below the age of 21. Moreover, CEO, Edward Stack announced that the company had scrapped $5 million in assault rifles that were still in stock.

On the T.V. show Sunday Morning, I saw a really great segment with CEO Edward Stack regarding this issue. I've posted the link below.

About Upthevibe

I've been a member of DU since the very beginning....after that horrible fiasco - the sElection of 2000. My first user name was Lindsey, then I changed it to Nirvana555, and now it's Upthevibe. I had devices crash and I ended up having to change my user name. I've never been one to make a whole lot of original posts, but I consider myself a very active member in that I come to DU almost every day and read the wonderfully informative threads. I can't imagine what life would have been like over the past two decades without DU!
