When does Trump have to submit June Campaign Donations/income to FEC ?

Supposedly it is going be $50m, which took the heat off, but I can only see the May filings submitted on June 22. If it's the same in July, then it falls the day after the GOP convention.

18,000 Police forces in the US, and you wonder why there's an issue ?

It was mentioned yesterday by a retired Police Chief (possibly of Washington), that there are 18,000 police forces in the US. That's just staggering. How can you hope to have standards in how your police deal with the public, when they all could have different (or no) interpretations ?

Wiki says

In 2008, state and local law enforcement agencies employed more than 1.1 million persons on a full-time basis, including about 765,000 sworn personnel (defined as those with general arrest powers). Agencies also employed approximately 100,000 part-time employees, including 44,000 sworn officers

In somewhere comparable like the UK,

There were 129,584 full-time equivalent ( FTE ) police officers in the 43 police forces of England and Wales as at 31 March 2013.

Did Pete Sessions just link President Obama to the blame for the Dallas shootings, on Morning Joe ?

I was admittedly only half listening to the idiot but I thought I heard him say something like "these killings going on when our President is overseas..."

Anyone hear that ?

Brian Fallon coming up on MSNBC on All due respect

Halperin REALLY pissed off with the Republicans today....clearly he was hoping for a win for the Reps. He's doubled down on his prediction that IF Trump has a good convention, picks a great VP, and has a great first debate, he'll win !!!

July 7, 2016

Morning Joe goes all Republican this morning

if we discount Harold Ford, which we can safely do (Keep hanging in there for the token Dem money, Harold !)

Trump's WILD rally last night has been actually talked up, and Mika is apoplectic that Hillary isn't in jail right now. Apparently she was texting Joe last night but he didn't respond .... is he cheatin on her already ???

Scarborough ranted "Hillary's sludging through a tough time right now....."

Halperin said he makes a great VP pick, a great convention and swings into winning the first debate, he can be ahead of her....

Chaffetz and Corker coming up

July 6, 2016

MSNBC Morning Joe Hatchet Job continues ...... disgraceful

Joe doesn't get it apparently.

July 5, 2016

Guess who MSNBC have on to analyse the Clinton/Obama rally ??? Go on, have a guess !!!

Huey F***** Hewitt !!!

You can't make this stuff up !

Mika Brzezinski laying into Hillary (again) on Morning Joe now

The bile is dripping from her every word. Is this Fox News in thinly veiled disguise ? And this from the person who said "I'll probably end up voting for Hillary" ?

The EU will treat Britain like Greece

Inadvertently I put this in LBN instead of General Discussion. I think it's an important article which gives a good idea of the EU thinking on how they will treat the UK's exit.

By Matthew Holehouse, Brussels

I arrived in Brussels as the Daily Telegraph’s correspondent in early June, 2015. A fortnight later, Alexis Tsipras snubbed Brussels, and called a referendum on the third bailout that was designed to save the Eurozone from collapse.

The terms he was later given - €50bn of assets sold and a de facto control of economic policy surrendered - were so harsh they were later denounced as a "coup".

It taught me two things: that in the cause of its salvation the European Union can be profoundly flexible and exceptionally brutal, and that events can swiftly take a momentum that is hard to control.

Nothing of that experience gives me hope for the years that now await our country.
