The best thing about last night? A precedent has been set.

How will their campaign ever be able to crow about ticket requests again, or be comfortable setting up huge venues, or be confident in what their digital "facts" are telling them?

It's not like they're going to be able to turn the tables and gaslight a Democratic gathering. We don't boast wildly in advance, and the low-information Faux News watchers are not likely to mount a viral TikTok initiative.

We just watched Da 5 Bloods. (No spoilers)

When they say it's rated R for violence and gore, they're not kidding.

Spike Lee never disappoints. This is a complicated movie that (IMO) would require a second watching to be adequately understood. I'll be surprised if it doesn't produce a few Oscar noms, for acting and more.

A puzzling Penzey's spice blend: Pico Fruta

It's for "watermelon, pineapple, mangos...cucumbers or cabbage slaw." I opened the little sample bag and sprinkled it on watermelon. Puke. It's too early in the morning for this mistake.

In my childhood we put salt on watermelon. Nowadays I just eat it plain but don't mind salt. Pico Fruta has: chili pepper, sugar, lemon peel, citric acid, and cilantro.

I love Penzey's and will continue to support, but this spice blend might be better recommended for...fish? I'm going to use it on salmon.

Happiness is discovering an episode of The Goldbergs I hadn't seen, not the recent series

but the 50's radio-to-TV comedy starring Gertrude Berg, who also wrote every episode and won the first Best-Actress Emmy award in 1950. Such a talent. And such fun to be a fly-on-the-wall in the apartment of a Jewish family in The Bronx in the 50's.
