Crayola is eliminating a crayon! Guess which one?

Goodbye dandelion yellow!

The yellow Dandelion crayon is being retired from Crayola’s crayon collection, the arts supplies company announced Thursday, a day earlier than expected. The announcement came early thanks to a leak on Twitter.

“Our beloved Dandelion decided to announce his retirement early! There’s no taming an adventurous spirit!” Crayola wrote in a Tweet, which featured a video of an animated Dandelion crayon reflecting on his adventurous “career.” This apparently included speaking many languages, going to space, hang-gliding over the Great Wall of China and sitting on lions.

The Dandelion crayon has been on Crayola’s roster for 27 years and part of the 24-pack for 18.

Help Coke come up with a new advertising campaign

based on this story in the news:

Police investigating after human feces found in Coca-Cola cans

Police are investigating after human waste was found in Coca-Cola cans at one of the company's factories in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, according to the BBC.

Coca-Cola reportedly suspended production in the Helllenic Bottling Company factory last week when a few machines mysteriously became clogged.

The tainted shipment of cans that caused the problem, which may have been shipped from a facility in Germany, were immediately impounded.

A spokeswoman for Coca-Cola spoke to the Belfast Telegraph about the incident, saying, "At Coca-Cola, we take the safety and quality of our products extremely seriously. We are aware of an incident involving empty cans at our plant in Knockmore Hill, Lisburn. We are treating this matter extremely seriously and are conducting a thorough investigation in co-operation with the PSNI."

OMG! This dummy is repeating the "U.S. steel for the Keystone pipeline" malarkey again

Trump is at a podium telling that story for the umpteenth time, how he is the only person to ever have asked, "Why aren't we using American steel?"

He's still spewing that even though it's not going to be U.S. steel making that pipeline.

Tom Brady to play another 6 or 7 seasons?!?! Pats' owner Robert Kraft says it's possible

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Could New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady really play until he's 46 or 47 years old?

That's the target range Brady highlighted in a recent conversation with owner Robert Kraft.

"As recently as 2-3 days ago, he assured me he'd be willing to play six to seven more years and at the level he performed," Kraft said Monday at the NFL's annual meeting. "There's no one that would be happier than I, and our fan base."

Brady turns 40 on Aug. 3, and the question of how much longer he'll play has been widely discussed and analyzed, in part because it could affect the Patriots' plans with backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who enters the final year of his contract.

One of the best investments you could have ever made...

If you'd kept it in mint condition. Fascinating story by MarketWatch.

Anybody here have one?

What makes a car a classic? A unique cultural formula of factors, according to vehicle valuation specialists at market research group Black Book — and if they all come together the right way, you could be making big bucks selling vehicles that were once commonplace. There’s just one catch. Well, two. It would be better if you bought it in, say, 1971. And it really helps if the car in question is still in mint condition.

Some cars once sold for the manufacturer’s relatively affordable suggested retail prices have years later been marked up thousands, sometimes tens of thousands of percent. The 1971 Plymouth Barracuda, for example, was once purchased for an asking price of $4,296 and is now worth $2.5 million — a 58,000% increase in value over time.

Once purchased for just $7,500, the 1967 Shelby Cobra has increased 17,000% to $1.3 million. Other models are also raking in cash in auctions around the country, the list shows, including the Cadillac Eldorado, Chevy Corvette, Pontiac Bonneville, Ford Thunderbird, and Ford Mustang GT.

Trump demands credit for defeating unpopular Trumpcare bill

This is from The Beaverton, a Canadian satire site, akin to The Onion.

WASHINGTON DC — Following the last-minute cancellation of a vote on the Republican “Trumpcare” bill, President Trump has questioned why he isn’t being lavished with praise for singlehandedly defeating the deeply unpopular legislation. The embattled president immediately took to twitter to demand credit for the failure of his own signature healthcare bill:

Despite spending the entire 2016 campaign insisting that he would repeal and replace the Affordable Healthcare Act with “something terrific”, Trumpcare polled poorly among Republicans, Democrats, insurance providers, Americans, and humans universally. Citing this lack of support for a bill that he himself allegedly helped write, the former reality TV host was reportedly shocked that more Americans had yet to personally thank him.

The reportedly furious president also expressed confusion at how people were not congratulating him for “kicking that twerp Paul Ryan’s butt”. Trump also reportedly described to assembled members of his cabinet how he bravely stood up to some of the most powerful Republicans in government, including the President himself, to get the bill defeated and appease the electorate.

“In fairness, Republicans control the House, Senate, and White House, so in a way the president single-handedly botching this bill is kind of impressive,” explained White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. He then suggested that, “You all like Obamacare so much, and now thanks to President Trump you get to keep it. So maybe Obamacare should be called Trumpcare?” This suggestion was met with silence from all except Breitbart News.
