I am reposting this so people can still give me some input. Unfortunately someone alerted my post when I posted it by accident in GD, was that really necessary? I see so many things posted in GD that really should not be there, and this was an innocent post doing no harm to anyone. Unfortunately I can't reply to anyone now.
I stayed up all night to take an early class on lectures etc. and was told to join the meeting with my phone and ignore the message to select join with dial or audio etc. Unfortunately, that did not work as I explained to the instructor, the phone app will not let me join unless I click join with no audio. Then we tested it with my brother as a participant, me as the computer host and the phone as a camera and I made it larger again but again I am not sure how I managed to make the phone camera the dominant image, just by clicking on I think?
But anyway, it did not solve the issue because when he was unmuted the echo etc. came back. So there is no way, maybe, for me to host on the computer, demonstrate the drawing with the phone as camera and still be able to see what students are doing and talk to them. I am sure there must be a way to do this. If anyone has any more ideas please let me know, and thank you for all the help I did receive.

But tonight in a class when I was using the phone camera to demonstrate and the laptop to talk to the class there was a bad echo. Also the pic was tiny but someone told me how to make it larger and now I have forgotten how I did that.
*To clarify I am demonstrating a drawing using the phone as a camera and using a laptop as the host to do other things.

Trouble with voice recordings
I am having trouble with my voice doing recorded lectures. My voice is so hoarse I can barely do this and I keep making mistakes and have to do it over again. I’m only recording one slide at a time also. So that should make it easier. But some of these are long lectures, one which had over 100 slides and the current one has about 35.
I tried doing some of my singing exercises that I used to do in the past when I had problems lecturing in person after a botched endoscopy which damaged my vocal cords. I have had constant nasal drip for years that comes down into the back of my throat.
I just had a terrible coughing fit while I was drinking tea and eating. Not doing any recordings. I had to take a cough drop. I don’t know what to do anymore. I can’t take the anti-histamines, I tried the steroid inhaler in my nose just to see if it would help but I think maybe it made it worse, I’m not sure.
I wonder what else to do here. I’ve done the ginger tea, I can’t take honey, sips of water, trying to rest in between. I really don’t want to have to go to the ENT and almost every time I have gone to them they were useless, except for telling me to do singing lessons a long time ago.
Someone said the worst thing you can do is clear your throat if you’re singing, the odd thing is I was able to sing pretty well right after the coughing fit and having the cough drop and drinking a little more tea. But my speaking voice still sounds hoarse and awful. It’s not like laryngitis, it just sounds gravelly and hoarse and I feel strain. I am getting so stressed out about how bad it sounds each time I have to record a slide.
Very Disturbing- NYC Mayor Adams now says private biz no longer has to require covid vaccination
I found this out from an email from the Art Student's League stating due to this they will no longer require students and I suppose staff as well, to be vaccinated for covid. This is very disturbing. I am not surprised but really what a way to say we don't gad anymore. It is more evidence of the insanity of the US. They said if your professor requires you wear a mask and that is an issue to please consider taking another class! What a way to say we don't care about our faculty or anyone else including ourselves except for the bottom line.
I am also disturbed that in my college people are being allowed to attend classes now who have not met the other vaccination requirements. That never happened in the past. I am not talking about covid here, that vaccination as far as I know is still mandatory, to be able to attend at all, but how long will that last for now with the way things are going.. I am talking about measles, mumps, meningitis etc. In the past I was told each semester to not let any students on this list attend class. None were ever still in attendance. Now they are being allowed to attend while the college is negotiating getting them to comply. Supposedly they will be booted out if they don't. But they are currently attending and possibly endangering everyone.
