Has anyone entertained the idea that Hope is just as bad as the men she was with?

We treat her like she is a dear little thing who needs protecting from these evil, evil men. I think she knew what she was getting herself into all along and accepted the risks in order to learn from the pros. Yes, that's right, I think she wants to emulate those evil, evil players in this administration. You can put it down to her naivete, but I see her as another Coulter in the making -- and who here feels sorry for Coulter or wants to save her from herself?

Somewhere along the line Hope realized that, to find power, she needed to insinuate herself into government. I should stress the "power" aspect because when a person craves only the power and not the responsibility that comes with it, that person chooses to side with the RW.

It pisses me off that deplorables get to wave our flag

I don't live in a red state, so I know it could be a lot worse. Still, I see them a few times a week. They stand on the corner with a pro-tRump sign, waving a big American flag. Or they drive around in their trucks with two American flags flapping in the back, tRump bumper stickers plastered everywhere. It pisses me off to no end.

Since when do they get to claim my flag?! tRump is working to destroy the country, doing everything in his power to corrupt democracy, and repubs are aiding him. The flag has become, for me, a symbol of treason. Now when I spot it, I feel an overwhelming sense of loathing. I want to tear it from their hands and stomp on it. At the same time, I know that is simply not right.

The flag should symbolize freedom, democracy, and rule of law. It should symbolize the very opposite of what the deplorables hold dear. I put it to you DUers that, as far as symbols go, the flag is one of (if not the) most powerful. It elicits a visceral reaction, and that reaction must be one of pride in our country's institutions. I say it is absolutely necessary to reclaim it as a democratic symbol. I just don't know how to go about wresting it from deplorable hands.

Something I don't understand about the Porter abuse

Note: Please do not read this as an attempt to blame the victims. I know the abuse happened. It's his psychological issue that seems really weird.

His first wife, Holderness, said he started abusing her on their honeymoon. His second wife, Willoughby, stated that she was familiar with his anger, but it became much, much worse on their honeymoon.

I don't understand why the abuse would begin (or become significantly worse) immediately after the wedding. What is the psychological reason behind that? Was he always angry and wanting to abuse but just kept himself under control until the relationship had been solidified by marriage and he could let it out? Or was the act of marriage a catalyst?

Can he plead the 5th by tweet?

So basically, this so called "memo" claims the Russia investigation is a partisan hack job orchestrated by HRC. How convenient that the memo returns to the meme that proved strongest during the election. Now we will be hearing "Crooked Hillary" and "Lock her up" for another few months at least.
