If Republicans dont stand up to Trump on Russia, theyre helping him undermine our democracy

WaPo states it loud and clear: https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/wp/2017/05/09/if-republicans-dont-stand-up-to-trump-on-russia-theyre-helping-him-undermine-our-democracy/?utm_term=.093e26d5e68b

Spicer’s remarks today are the latest in a persistent effort by the White House to employ a disinformation campaign to undercut the various ongoing investigations into Russia’s meddling in our election — and potential Trump campaign collusion with it. If Republicans don’t stand up to the White House on this, they will be responsible for helping him undermine public trust in the ultimate outcome of the probes.

The stakes could not be higher, given the nature of the Russian threat to western democracies.

In a normal presidency, the White House would have been relieved to receive an alert such as the one Yates delivered about Flynn. But this is not a normal presidency. This White House has basically declared Yates the villain and Flynn the hero. Today, Spicer characterized Yates, a 27-year DOJ veteran, as “not exactly a supporter of the president’s agenda.” He was suggesting, then, that the White House didn’t take her warning about Flynn very seriously because of her supposed political agenda.

If Republicans continue let Trump get away with this, they will be aiding in his efforts to undermine active investigations — and the public’s trust in them. Republicans must push back — clearly, loudly, forcefully — on the president’s attempts to interfere with these probes and his ham-handed spreading of disinformation about them, or they will be co-owners of his deceptions.

The Major Takeaway from Yates' Testimony is....

Repukes could give a shit about Russian collusion. Their main objective is impugning Democrats and those who uphold the Constitution.

No, sir. It is YOU who are fired! (caption Yates)

Breaking News: Next Election 3 Years Away

And I could give a rat's ass about who should be our next fucking candidate. You know why? BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MATTER IF WE CAN'T FIX THE SYSTEM BEFOREHAND!!!!

So stop promoting all these people. Stop creating a cult of personality to save you from the evil rethugs. Start taking action to fix things like: gerrymandering, voter suppression, the Electoral College, Russian hacking, fake news, and vote machine hacking.

end of rant.

Chechnya leader claims region never had gay men, just fake Chechens

link:http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2017/05/06/chechnya-leader-claims-region-never-had-gay-men-just-fake-chechens/

Chechnya leader Ramzan Kadyrov denied that there are any gay men to persecute in the region, rather labelling them “fake” Chechens.

Kadyrov has insisted that he will cooperate with a Russian investigation into the discovery of persecution against gay people in the region, but denied that any gay people actually existed.

The region’s leader made the comments after Russian president Vladimir Putin announced intentions to investigate reports of gay men being abducted, tortured and killed in the republic.

Kadyrov said: “We have never had them among the Chechens.”

“Unless we are talking about those who aren’t Chechens but say they are so that they can get to the West.”

“Chechen society does not have this phenomenon called non-traditional sexual orientation. For thousands of years the people have lived by other rules, prescribed by God,” he added.

Maybe tRump can invite Kadyrov to the WH after Duterte leaves?

Should Govt Subsidies Pay for Alt Right Hate?

Cause that is what they are doing.

link: http://forward.com/news/366475/richard-spencer-gets-income-from-cotton-plantation/

The Center, based in Emeryville, California, found that the Spencer family is absentee landlord for about 5,300 acres in six different farming companies in Louisiana.

The Spencer family also received more than $2 million in U.S. farm subsidy payments from 2008-2015.

Asked on the Reveal podcast whether he uses income from the farms to support his “alt-right” advocacy, Spencer would not specify, but claimed donations had increased to his institute tenfold in the last six months, significantly growing what was a $100,000 budget.

Spencer told Letson, “I am proud of my grandfather. I am proud of what he built.”

He added that “We’ve all benefited from white privilege,” and “I want my children to have white privilege.”

So let me get this straight. Repukes are angry about a social safety net paid for by the government, but they have no problem with the federal government paying for the likes of Richard Spencer to create and fund his National Policy Institute? Well, excuse me but I would rather let people on welfare buy cigarettes and Twinkies with their government checks than to give millions of dollars to support the likes of punchable Mr. Spencer. Maybe it's time this subsidy scheme comes under closer scrutiny.

Why Did No One Tell Me Le Pen was Egged!?

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/marine-le-pen-egged_uk_590b2172e4b05c397686c73a

Marine Le Pen has been egged during a public appearance on the French Presidential election campaign trail.

The French National Front (FN) party candidate had arrived at Dol-de-Bretagne, France, and was surrounded by bodyguards, TV cameras and angry demonstrators.

As she was talking to a man in the crowd eggs began to pour down on her and her entourage and she was hurriedly escorted inside.

We can watch the carnage over and over while wishing her ill.

So What is Proper and Fitting Punishment for Russia/Putin?

Obviously, the last round of sanctions did nothing to quell Putin's appetite for sowing chaos in western democracies.
