I never even thought about it until someone told me I shouldn't just run up to strange dogs cooing loudly with arms outstretched. Maybe I'm being impolite? What is your take?
This Seems Like A Great Time to Hang Out in The Lounge (versus GD)
Personally, I can't take more than five minutes of GD anymore.

What's the Most Embarrassing Thing That's Happened to You in an Interview?
Let me just start by saying that I had an experience this morning at a job fair and it set me to thinking. I was just beginning to tell the interviewers all about how wonderful I am when the chair I was sitting on broke. I fell on my butt and ripped my pants (up the side). The only positive was that I was wearing a sport coat that hid the rip. Of course I behaved like nothing had happened.
So what horrible thing has happened to you while interviewing for a job?
This looks like fun: Railbiking!
Seriously, it looks like a nice, peaceful time. Some of those trestles are HUGE!
Would you part 2
SHRED inspired me to post this one.
Just a really short out and back. What could be so difficult? Now who wants to go riding?
Majority say Muslims, Jews face more discrimination than other religious groups
Eighty-five percent of respondents said Muslims face discrimination, while 15 percent said they face almost no discrimination or no discrimination at all in the U.S. Seventy-nine percent also said Jews face discrimination, with 21 percent disagreeing.
Fewer respondents 61 percent said Christians are discriminated against, with 39 percent saying they face little to no discrimination.
Atheists are perceived to face even less discrimination, with 55 percent of those surveyed saying atheists face discrimination in the U.S., compared with 45 percent who said there is no discrimination against atheists.

The video at the link has a graph that breaks down who thinks what by Dem, Ind, and GOP. Interesting.
Why does coffee make me sleepy? Is this a normal thing?
Yes, caffeinated coffee. I discovered the Keurig in the boss's office and had a go...twice. Ever since I've been ready for a nap.
A Troubling Discovery in the Deepest Ocean Trenches
The team found PCBs galore. Some amphipods were carrying levels 50 times higher than those seen in crabs from one of Chinas most polluted rivers. When the news broke, Jamieson was inundated with calls from journalists and concerned citizens. And in every discussion, one question kept coming up: What about plastics?
Brooks eventually found plastic fibers and fragments in 72 percent of the amphipods that the team collected, from all six trenches that they had surveyed. In the least polluted of these sites, half of the amphipods had swallowed at least one piece of plastic. In the 6.8-mile-deep Mariana Trench, the lowest point in any ocean, all of the specimens had plastic in their gut.

If You Started a Band, What Would It Be (Punk, Metal, Rockabilly) and What Would You Call It?
And it really shouldn't be something that is already taken, which is going to be pretty damned difficult to find.
But I found mine: Sin Eater It's going to be metal. I'm going to be the one screaming because I can't play an instrument.
