I was in the back seat. Both me and the front seat passenger were yelling at the driver to slow down or stop. When we got into town and stopped at a sign the passenger dragged the driver out of the car and punched him out. I don’t think it cured him because I think he ultimately got in a high speed crash but at least no one was with him. Kids at that age should be limited to something like a VW Bug.

The war has shown Russian equipment to be over rated. Though it’s really showing their poor tactics, possible customers for Russian arms are going to be turned off.

I can’t remember if I read it here or elsewhere, but the details of the sinking of their Black Sea flagship cruiser are illuminating. The ship was the pride of their fleet with a very impressive host of armaments including a 3 tiered air defense, but was sunk by a couple relatively inexpensive cruise missiles. Turns out only one of their longest range air defense missiles was functional as well as their close defense Gatling gun style weapons (only one functional). Their radar systems were mostly not working due to expensive parts being stripped and sold on the black market. And probably the biggest thing, their fire control systems were also largely not functional for similar reasons; stolen parts, fire extinguishers missing. Also throughout the entire ship many important pieces of equipment were locked up for protection and unavailable quickly. All Putin’s war has accomplished is showing the world that Russia is a paper Tiger.

Think twice. But when it’s a thousand feet down it’s a whole different story. For myself, when I worked on tall concrete structures I got pretty used to it. But getting high on some steel framework that sways in the wind or when a truck comes by...never got used to that. But I suppose if I did it every day I’d get used to it. I think of some jobs I had when I was younger that I got used to after awhile and it was just a job.

Or at least the biggest enablers. It’s not so far fetched, you know he’ll drag as many as possible and try to blame them. But I hope it goes beyond just the obvious that they allowed him to do all that he’s done. We’ve all wondered what he has on these people that makes they so subservient. It’s most likely he just passes on what Putin tells him because Vlad has all the goods. But what if trump himself has copies of the receipts? I could see him having a hissy self pity party and taking everyone down with him. I’ve mentioned before the parallels to Hitler and at the end he did his best to see Germany utterly destroyed because they were unworthy.

I've seen a few discussions about politics go off the rail lately. Some replies devolve to hostile personal attacks. The Russians have proven themselves to be very adept at stirring the pot, getting americans to turn on each other. I always say they know how to get the most bang for the buck. Hire a few trolls and spend a couple thousand to disrupt our political system and elections. Using an array of espionage tricks they will steal our latest weapons systems, spending a few million to get billions of dollars worth of American research. Way cheaper than having to do it themselves.

I really doubt the Russians were counting on a Trump victory, let alone that he would do everything in his power to hide the truth about Russian interference.

Maybe Trump himself wasn't directly involved but I am sure by now he is well aware that the Russians not only influenced the elections but continue to sow discord. Any real American president would do his best to put a stop to this, he'd put America first. But the Russians helped elect someone who is so narcissistic that he is easy to manipulate, and they will continue to do so with susceptible Americans even if Trump resigns.

Its not just the obvious association of "The Emperor has no Clothes" I was reflecting how in our society wearing a suit/jacket & tie automatically causes the the wearer to be held in higher regard. Trump is a fat-ass, loud, obnoxious, lying blowhard. He would fit right in with a pickup, rifle rack, and Nazi paraphernalia. It would make it more obvious if someone could remove the trappings he has.

Even if there was some truth to the article, and it was some sort of election law violation, everyone is so used to Trumps camp lying and try to distract the only ones who will latch onto this are died-in-the-wool republicans.
