The bridge where the Grunts are under attack and the bridge is all lit up turn off the power people. Martin sheen and then Lance tripping on acid Lance with the sweet pup inside his flack jacket are looking for the command post.
Well Dunk pup doesn’t like the decorations either they the neighbors live down the road from us. And the last several mornings the pup runs outside barks at the lit up decorations. Through the trees the night is illuminated and he barks who knew Dunk was not a fan of electricity.
Dunk has had his morning crap and he now is laying next to me chewing a bone, and once in awhile he whines growls or moans stopping to look at the decorations through the trees and then proceeds to aggressively chew the bone.
I tell him I know the holidays can be stressful mister.
In the mood for soup again just rambling looking at recipes
Now our Dear friend Dem in Texas has me wanting to make split pea soup, I tossed out the split pea soup and it went over like a Led Zeppelin with the two grandkids age five and four yuck that is green oh pap the 18 year olds were not that enthused either.
So then I’m thinking chicken tortilla soup our friend Diamond Dog has really great Mexican chicken soup recipe I’ve made we have frozen chicken so I was thinking of just using canned chicken if I do tortilla chicken soup.
Or back again to a potato soup or perhaps navy bean soup which is so delicious with ham hocks then I’ll dice up ham and drop it in navy bean soup. And we can’t forget the carbs a loaf of freshly baked bread from bakery.
It's like the army around here , I didn't know we do not buy yellow cheese in slices.
A ramble now I do not take my time in service that seriously I actually look back and think ok that was three years I wasted in a humorous fond way of remembering . Example my first platoon sgt a fine S.F.C. when I fist hit the 82nd assigned to the 2/325 PIR our platoon sgt had a saying Get with the program Airborne and quit fucking up pay attention to detail trooper.
Yesterday we were shopping Walmart and getting oil changed and our one grandson is with us he is off of pre school sick the doc said upper respiratory. So after Dr appointment we headed to store to get Kleenex and other supplies groceries. So in shopping I grab a big pre sliced block of cheese it was yellow , and mister says what are you doing Pap.
Mister - Why did you get that cheese Pap.
Pap - Because you all like cheese and you wanted cheeseburgers and chicken soup for chow.
Mister - Grandma never got yellow cheese she always got white cheese and My mom never gets yellow cheese.
So young mister went and picked up the white pre sliced , then we hit the Kleenex oh geez.
Mister - No pap my Mom and Grandma always gets the extra lotion Kleenex.
I’m smiling over this because yea old man pay attention to detail get with program if you wanna be in my platoon trooper.
Then on way to pay for oil change we stroll by the toy section and young mister is like can we look at toys Pap. I said I’m not sure we’re just gonna look right cuz Santa is Five days out.
And your Mom and grandma had a rule no new toys this close to Christmas , I could see young mister thinking this one out. We ended up paying for his new light saber at the oil change register my thought is you can always use a spare light saber.
To quote my first platoon sgt once again in carrying gear ( It is better to have and not need than to need and not have people)
Chili today and cornbread or with grilled cheese on sourdough bread.
Or chili Mac or seriously goulash I’m not sure it’s not much of a stretch from chili Mac to goulash decisions. Am going back work after new year chilling today boys back school Wednesday.
Fellas and I went to Gym workout
And now I find myself sitting at kitchen bar dipping a Hershey bar as I break it in pieces dragging it through a jar of peanut butter, my wife used to say share I would always share with her.
Now the furry boys are in kitchen they smelled peanut butter what the biscuits mister we love peanut butter so I spread some skippy on bread and I hooked the furry boys up. Hooking them up with skippy I feel it is a better choice than being attacked as they all are descended from wolves.
I am 56 I grew up watching wild kingdom with Marlin Perkins and what was his side kicks name Jim. The guy that had to wrestle all the wild animals poor guy.
Spent yesterday doing setup's on Harley Benton's.
A ramble been up since 03:45 can’t sleep.
The high school music teacher had a budget I pointed her to H.B. Guitars for her students in class and she picked up six guitars they arrived Thursday. I do not own any H.B. I have worked on and then played them actually two before yesterday a strat and then their tele rosewood model it’s all veneer the tele but for $150 sure.
So eighteen went picked up the guitars and the teacher and we went to work on them, in buying she was able to purchase H.B. one tele it’s a copy of their 52 , then four Stratocaster model 62 models these model guitars the tele and Stratocasters are all basswood body ,and then she also purchased a H.B.450 single cut. Not one guitar over $270 in price she scored I told her, and I was impressed with the 450 Les Paul model mahogany and a cool maple top that made me wonder for the price.
I weighed the tail piece of the 450 on my scale and I think it’s aluminum and I’m looking under neck humbucker it is sporting a long neck tenon. I know neck tenon apples and oranges I can’t tell the difference when playing a Les with or without, yet my tokai reborn has long tenon.
So yesterday we did the setups new strings I even replaced and added new bone nut for one of the strat copies because she has two students that are left handed and switched it around. I even replaced the one jack on the one strat yet everything else is all stock looking at the pots I’m not sure what the stamps are, yet for kids to play practice it is a awesome haul for them.
I’ve never been a guitar snob I could care what name is on the headstock let’s just play and explore the fretboard and have fun. I personally am a MIJ collector discovered made in Japan guitars as kid in army in West Germany when I was stationed there.
Today the bubble has burst as in we have many choices as home players. Regardless if it’s made in Korea or Indonesia yes we have to be careful about some guitars from the eastern world in not so great in quality ,yet you can find a decent guitar even then do upgrades and you’re still ahead in saving dollars and you have a player.
The music teacher even has quite a few dollars left in her budget and now looking at amps. They have several solid state amps yet she wants to purchase a few more. With the cash she has left I was letting her listen to these one watt black stars tube amps we have for home also we use one watt Marshall’s that’s all we need for the house perhaps we could find used black stars and Marshall one watts on reverb.com.
Slobbers this morning the furry boys apex predators ,I'm slicing up meat.
This morning I’m slicing up roast beef for luncheon meats and tippy taps and slobbers are on full display as woofs and barks as well. Yesterday I sliced up ham for lunch meat also then we freeze and thaw what we need , the furry fellas only scored small bites of ham as it’s not best for pups I was once told.
Two year old grandson just went running past the kitchen bar naked
Sitting at the kitchen bar making grocery list with my fellas can’t forget the dog food . Grandson went streaking past with a piece of toast in his hand and the menace of the galaxy dunk the golden in pursuit.
I had mister cleaned up and dressed to greet the day so the mystery is between me making this third cup coffee then checking on him how did he get undressed so fast ,tell you all he was feeling rough yesterday pediatrician said it was ear infection she put him on antibiotics i think the antibiotics are working medical science cool stuff.

The olfactory gland is working boys and I came home reeking of pizza.
Fellas and I hit the gym early then stopped around at pizza buffet at 10:30 this morning.
We walked through the door and just had K9 noses sniffing us really human fellas traitors we love you and you do us this way.
You know we love pizza and you know we can’t survive on dry boring dog nuggets alone yes you do mix wet food with the dry. Yet who does not love pizza we will be meeting later to see if we should call PETA.
Told fellas I just hope PETA allows visitation we do love these furry boys.
