Are We Still Doing "Keep America Great"? Trump is going to need a new slogan.

LOL,

That is . . . not going to work.

Because things are not great. Nobody thinks they’re great. You might say, actually, that things are as terrible as they’ve been in living memory.

" I won't lose to Joe Biden" - He is really delusional

He really has drunk his own Kool Aid and has been wrapped in the Fox Coverage for so long that he actually believes his own BS.

I say this because of the way he allegedly said that- profanity laced statement about not losing to Joe Biden. As if he was a far superior candidate and Biden was beneath him. What?

If we are talking about qualifications here - Biden - life long public servant, senator, former VP, experience in foreign affairs vs Trump's failed businesses - bankruptcy- reality show host who licensed his name to make money - who thinks it would be worth a try to inject disinfectant into peoples' lungs?

But then again we had one of the most qualified candidates in Hillary Clinton we have ever seen, whether male or female and he still won, so maybe I should not blame him for his hubris.

Just saw the report on Cuomo regarding Florida hiding the death total

So they are not counting the people that are not Florida residents. Keep in mind that there are many snowbirds in Florida. They live in another state during the warmer months and live in Florida in the colder months. He was interviewing the journalist that wrote this article.

And the state health department is counting coronavirus deaths only for people who claimed residency in Florida. The medical examiners, who are legally responsible for certifying fatalities from diseases that constitute a threat to public health, are counting anyone who died in Florida, including snowbirds and visitors.

So let me get this straight. Barr does not think police brutality that leads to a person's death

violates their civil rights. See Eric Garner - Barr over ruled his own DOJ Civil Rights Division to pursue charges against Panteleo in the senseless killing of Eric Garner. Despite the fact that he was not a threat, said numerous times he could not breathe. Despite Pantaleo using a banned chokehold
Nope not a civil rights violation.

But a bunch of grown toddlers having a temper tantrum or just set on creating mayhem are having their civil rights violated because they can't get a haircut or go to the bar, or whatever non important thing they want to do in the middle of a pandemic that has already cost the deaths of almost 60,000 people and infected a million people.

Alright. Got it. Police commit a senseless homicide. What civil rights violation?

Bucky can't get his mullet, yup civil rights violation.

Rapper Scarface who ran for city council in Texas is on dialysis due to Covid 19

Rapper Scarface of the Houston rap group Geto Boys was one of several musicians who contracted the coronavirus in March. He broke the news in a conversation with fellow Geto Boy Willie D via YouTube, where he said he felt like he was going to die.

Now, Scarface is letting fans know that the illness has become even more serious for him, as he is now on dialysis as a result of COVID-19.

“I fought COVID double bilateral pneumonia—both lungs—and kidney failure in my house,” he told Willie D in a Zoom interview last week. “I went back to the hospital. So, when all went back to shit again, I went back to the hospital. I just got out of the hospital Monday (April 20).”

Scarface said that prior to contracting the coronavirus, he had no kidney issues. Now, he has to change his entire diet and lifestyle. He does dialysis four days a week, for three hours a day. (“That’s taking all my blood out, cleaning it and putting it back in my body,” he explains.)

Who gets to decide which "news" outlets are allowed at press briefings?

When we take back the Whitehouse, can they get rid of " reporters" from the likes of Breitbart News? - These people are not journalists.

Crazy? Genius? Democrat Vernon Jones' right-wing exit strategy

Good read on his motives for endorsing Trump

Jones is feeling the heat in his very Democratic, very African-American district. He has a solid challenger, Rhonda Taylor, who went to a runoff with him in 2016. They face each other in the June 9 Democratic primary.
Now, one could scratch one’s head and wonder the logic, or sanity, of a Democratic candidate publicly pushing for Trump in a district that Hillary won 74% to 24%. And that 74-24 was in the general election. I’d wager Democratic voters in the upcoming primary would be at least 90-10 anti-Trump.

Jones’ move is largely an exit strategy. In reality, the ever-ambitious Jones has run out of runway with the Democratic Party in Georgia. He’s seen as a pain in the keister and few want him around. There really is no future for him there.

You Are Not Alone If You Don't Care About Work During The Coronavirus Pandemic

Timely article - especially for me. I find myself just wanting to disengage from work. Sigh, I have a ton of documentation to complete today because I have been putting it off.

You Are Not Alone If You Don't Care About Work During The Coronavirus Pandemic

Doing only what you need to do to stay employed is a totally reasonable response to quarantine.

If you still have a job while tens of millions of Americans file for unemployment benefits, you are in a privileged position right now. But that doesn’t mean your performance is not being affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Even if your job is meaningful to you, it can be understandably hard to stay motivated or even care much about it during a global pandemic that is infecting millions and has killed over 187,000 people worldwide.

“The sudden reminders of our mortality, and the suddenness with which people are dying can conjure existential crises, can inevitably make us wonder what our legacies are as we are seeing so many
people’s lives cut short,” said Kristin Bianchi, a Maryland-based
licensed psychologist at the Center for Anxiety and Behavior Change.

Trump is not the only politician promoting absurd cures

A Kenyan politician is facing backlash after including an unexpected item in coronavirus care packages.

Nairobi, Kenya (CNN)Recipients of Nairobi politician Mike Sonko's Covid-19 care packages can expect to receive the typical food staples except for one item -- alcohol.

Sonko, the governor of the Kenyan capital city, Nairobi, confirmed in a media briefing on Tuesday that his care packages include a few small bottles of the cognac, Hennessy.

The governor justified the inclusion of alcohol as "throat sanitizer."
"I think from the research conducted by the World Health Organization and various organizations, it has been believed that alcohol plays a major role in killing the coronavirus," Sonko said in a video.

But the World Health Organization has explicitly stated that alcohol does not protect against coronavirus, and advises people to minimize its consumption.
In a post released by the WHO on Tuesday, the organization said that alcohol can weaken the health of an individual and make them more vulnerable to viruses including coronavirus.
