"Nationwide Boycott Plan ...Simple Plan To Get Rid of Trump." ???

Nationwide Boycott Plan
…Simple Plan To Get Rid of Trump..
The purpose of the nationwide general boycott is to pressure corporate America to stop funding Trump and the republicans. They will stop when their sales decline. Some protesters are postponing purchases of discretionary items such as new clothing, cars, appliances, and furniture. Purchase food and other necessities from local vendors.** Furthermore, locally owned restaurants and bars are not to be boycotted. **

Other protesters are electing to boycott specific companies including advertisers on Fox News. The purpose is the same. Pressure specific companies to stop enabling Trump. GrabYourWallet is one organization that maintains a list of companies being boycotted.

Frequently Asked Questions
General Boycott versus Budget: From a practical basis, they are similar. In both, you take control over your purchases and you save money. But the purpose of the boycott is pressure companies to join in the defense of democracy.

How Much Money will I Save: You will be amazed. I saved over $900/month by cutting: coffee stops every morning ($150/mo), fast food at least 5 times/wk ($140/mo), eating at a nice restaurant twice/wk ($200/mo), didn’t upgrade cell phone ($45/mo), cut out department store shopping ($250/mo), using grocery stop coupons ($50/mo), closed storage locker ($80/mo), changed cable service ($45/mo). And i lost weight too.

Targeted Versus General Boycott: Should I participate in the general or targeted boycott? You decide. Or you can do both by boycotting several “targeted” companies and by cutting back a little on the purchase of discretionary items.

Won’t This be Hard on My Children and Family: Based on the feedback from last year’s boycott, the children hardly noticed or adapted quickly. And imagine how difficult it will be for them, if democracy dies.

Lists: Is there a list of company’s and products to boycott? In the general boycott you cut back on discretionary purchases. So lists are not needed. But if you wish to target specific companies, GrabYourWallet and others maintain such a lists.

Shopping at Local Vendors; What if there are few local vendors in my area? In such cases, continue shopping at the corporate stores. Try to reduce your discretionary purchases. Just buy what you need.

How Long Do We Boycott? Think long term. It is likely the full impact of the boycotts will not be felt until later this year. And remember, the boycotts are part of the three part plan to #DefendDemocracy. Local protests on a weekly basis and periodic national protests also will be taking place.

”Socialism is a scare word they've hurled at every advance the people have made. Socialism is what they called public power, social security, deposit insurance, and independent labor organizations. Socialism is their name for anything that helps all people.”

Only 10 students invited to Trump's speech at historically black college

Only 10 students invited to Trump's speech at historically black college

(CNN) — More than 200 people attended President Donald Trump's speech at Benedict College, but only about 10 actual students were invited to the event -- his first appearance at a historically black college, and an effort to reach out beyond his usual base of support.

Columbia, South Carolina, Mayor Stephen Benjamin told CNN that out of the more than 200 invitees to the President's speech, only about 10 were actual students from the college. The others, Benjamin said, were "brought in" from somewhere else. More than 2,100 attend the school, according to its website.

Benedict College spokeswoman Kymm Hunter later told reporters that only seven students ultimately attended the speech

The U.S. deficit hit $984 billion in 2019, soaring during Trump era

The U.S. deficit hit $984 billion in 2019, soaring during Trump era
Spending increases, tax cuts and political apathy fueled the surge.

The U.S. government’s budget deficit ballooned to nearly $1 trillion in 2019, the Treasury Department announced Friday, as the United States’ fiscal imbalance widened for a fourth consecutive year despite a sustained run of economic growth. The deficit grew $205 billion, or 26 percent, in the past year.

The country’s worsening fiscal picture runs in sharp contrast to President Trump’s campaign promise to eliminate the federal debt within eight years. The deficit is up nearly 50 percent in the Trump era. Since taking office, Trump has endorsed big spending increases and steered most Republicans to abandon the deficit obsession they held during the Obama administration.

In 2011, the GOP-controlled House of Representatives pushed to pass a constitutional amendment that would require balanced budgets. And the Obama administration created a deficit commission looking for ways to slow the growth of government debt. But those efforts have fallen away, and budget experts believe the country will see trillion-dollar annual deficits far into the future.

Missouri athletic department sends, deletes staggeringly bad tweets on diversity

The University of Missouri athletic department apologized Thursday for a pair of comically bad tweets attempting to brag about diversity.

The tweets had graphics of white athletes with badges reading “I am a future doctor” and “I am a future corporate financier” and black athletes reading “I am an African American woman," “I value equality” and “I am a brother.”

IVANKA mocked for trying to take credit for Kansas economy. 'GIRL, PLEASE--YOU DIDN'T BUILD THAT'

Kansas politician has mocked Ivanka Trump's claim the White House administration's policies had spurred the state's economy.

Tweeting a graph from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Ivanka cited data showing household median income in the state growing by $4,546 to $59,123 and the creation of 33,800 jobs, 7,100 of which were manufacturing posts.

"The Kansas success story...We're just getting started!" the White House adviser and daughter of President Donald Trump tweeted, with a yellow line in the graph the graph signifying the point when Trump took office and when the boost to employment had started.

She sent the tweet on the day she visited the WSU Tech National Center for Aviation Training in Wichita to promote the president's "Pledge to America's Workers."

However Stephanie Clayton, who was elected as a Republican but now serves as a Democrat member in the Kansas House of Representatives, quickly registered her disdain at Ivanka Trump's comment.

In a tweet that was retweeted hundreds of times, Clayton's curt message was: "Girl, please. You didn't build that. #ksleg"

The website noted that the increase in Kansas' growth coincided with the election of Democrat candidates in the state legislature, which marked the end of the administration of governor Sam Brownback. Brownback's philosophy was to cut as many taxes as possible, a move critics said left a big hole in state finances.

It said that "Ivanka Trump...doesn't bother with the facts" and that her tweet showed a "misunderstanding of Kansas politics" because instead of White House policy, the Kansas economy had benefited from the election of Democratic governor Laura Kelly and a Democratic U.S. House member in 2018.

Houston Astros fire executive Brandon Taubman over outburst at women reporters in locker room

(CNN)A Houston Astros executive accused of verbally accosting female journalists has been fired, the team said.

The team announced Thursday that Brandon Taubman, the Astros' assistant general manager, was fired for his postgame outburst aimed at female reporters following Saturday night's American League Championship Series victory.
"His conduct does not reflect the values of our organization and we believe this is the most appropriate course of action," the team said in a statement.

'Thank God we got Osuna!"
Taubman came under fire after Sports Illustrated published a report Monday detailing an incident that took place when the the team was celebrating its Game 6 ALCS win over the New York Yankees.

The former executive allegedly homed in on three women in the locker room, one wearing a bracelet promoting domestic violence awareness, and said six times, "Thank God we got Osuna! I'm so f***ing glad we got Osuna!"

Osuna joined the Astros in July 2018, just months after he was arrested on assault charges stemming from an incident involving the mother of his 3-year-old son. An Ontario court withdrew the assault charge but MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred suspended Osuna for 75 games without pay, saying the available evidence showed he had violated the league's domestic violence policy, according to MLB.com.
The Astros signed him after investigating the incident and Osuna's background and determining he deserved a second chance following his completion of a league domestic violence program, the team said in a statement.
