James McNeelis and his new rescue dog were playing outside his Kiefer home on the evening of October 20 when his parents attempted to call him in for dinner. They contacted police when he didn't respond.

The Creek County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that officers received a call at about 7:20 p.m., adding that a child's body was found shortly after they arrived at the home.

"Shortly after deputies arrived on scene, a family member located the child on the property," the statement said. "The child was pronounced deceased at approximately 7:35 p.m."

According to KJRH, the child's body was found by his father.

The statement from the sheriff's office said that the rescue dog is currently being held at an animal control facility. A preliminary investigation by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife indicated that the child was attacked by the family dog.

No foul play is suspected in the incident, Creek County Sheriff Bret Bowling told KOCO.

The 7-year-old's family told KJRH that the dog is a Corgi and Shetland Sheepdog mix. Police officers didn't indicate the dog's breed.

Lost Hiker Did Not Pick Up Calls From Unknown Number Person - lead to him spending 24 hours lost

A lost hiker who spent 24 hours on Colorado's highest mountain ignored repeated phone calls from a search and rescue crew because they came from an unknown number. The unidentified hiker had set out on the 14,440-foot-tall peak on the morning of Oct. 18 but did not return to their lodging by evening, Lake County Search and Rescue said in a statement. That's when the owner of the lodging called for assistance, reports CTV News. Crews searched "high probability areas" on Mount Elbert from 10pm to 3am while calling the hiker's cellphone. Crews also left voicemail and text messages, the statement said.

All went ignored. After a brief pause overnight, crews were again searching for the hiker on the morning of Oct. 19 when it was reported that they'd returned to the lodging around 9:30am, roughly 24 hours after setting out, per the Guardian. The hiker then told authorities that they'd lost the trail around nightfall and "bounced around on to different trails trying to locate the proper trailhead" during the evening, before finally locating their car, according to the statement. The person said they'd had "no idea" anyone was looking for them.

"One notable take-away is that the subject ignored repeated phone calls from us because they didn't recognize the number," Search and Rescue said. "If you're overdue according to your itinerary, and you start getting repeated calls from an unknown number, please answer the phone; it may be a SAR team trying to confirm you're safe!" In response to angry comments on social media, the agency did note that "what seems like common sense in hindsight is not obvious to a subject in the moment when they are lost and panicking.

Remarks directed at Arab American student send shockwaves through NJ high school

RIDGEFIELD, New Jersey (WABC) -- A cruel remark directed at an Arab American student has sent shockwaves through Ridgefield Memorial High School.

Mohammed Zubi, a 17-year-old senior, was in a math class asking a question when it happened. The comment caught everyone off guard, and was loud enough for other kids in the class to hear.

"He responded saying, 'we don't negotiate with terrorists,' so I look around in shock, there's people laughing, and there's other people in shock, and I turn around and ask my friend, 'did he really just say that?' and she said yes," said Zubi.

"The teacher got close to him and said 'we don't negotiate with terrorists,' knowing that Mohammed is Arabic and Muslim," said senior Vuk Tomasese.

Senior Nichoalas Velez says everyone in the classroom was mostly in shock.
Zubi is captain of the soccer team but has not been back in school since he is the target of the Tuesday morning insult.

Police sergeant on leave after profanity-laden tirade against 17-year-old girl

AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — A Colorado police sergeant is on leave after he launched a profanity-laden tirade at a 17-year-old girl during a traffic stop.

-----------------

Sgt. Ed Acuti was placed on leave after another officer reported his behavior, the department said in a statement, adding that the internal affairs investigation into the incident is near its final stages.
--------------------------------

The 17-year-old driver, a girl, stays on the scene and is detained. She becomes emotional, crying, screaming and asking police to call her mother. She also repeatedly expresses concern that her son has a gash on his head.

The sergeant at one point yells at the girl to “shut the f— up.”

“Y’all kill people! Call my mom!” she yells at one point. “If I wanted to run, you think I would have pulled over?”

She expresses that she’s scared, and the officer calmly tells her to take a deep breath and relax. “There’s nothing to be scared of,” he tells her.

The girl continues to cry and scream, asking police to call her mom and yelling profanities at the officers. At one point, he point yells “f— you” back at her.

What the officer says at one point:

“You think I’m out here playing f—ing games? You’re out of your f—ing mind, and I’ll tell your mom the same f—ing thing. I’m sure your mom would be real happy that your f—ing man’s got a gun in his f—ing waistband, running around f—ing town. Right? Whose f—ing car is this? Tell me! Whose f—ing car is this? ‘Cause it’s gonna go to the f—ing impound and I don’t give a f— how you get around. Are we f—ing clear? You better keep your f—ing mouth shut. I’ll make your life a living f—ing hell from this f—ing (slams the car with his hand) day forward. You wanted it? You f—ing earned it. I don’t care how the f— old you are. Let that f—ing sink in.”

at Liberty University, being raped equals violating the "Liberty Way" by having premarital sex

LONG ARTICLE - shows how Liberty University not only penalizes the rape victim but also witnesses who come forward on rape victims behalf (male or female) get penalized also. REALLY EFFED UP UNIVERSITY.

https://www.propublica.org/article/the-liberty-way-how-liberty-university-discourages-and-dismisses-students-reports-of-sexual-assaults

-----

In the fall of 2013, Diane Stargel sought the help of the university’s mental health counselors, telling the counselor she met with that she’d been raped by another student at a party off-campus. Stargel recalled that the counselor listened and then asked her to sign a “victim notice” that warned she could be found to have broken the Liberty Way if she chose to move forward. Terrified of losing her scholarship, Stargel signed the paper and did not formally report being assaulted.

“I feel like Liberty bullied me into silence after what happened to me,” said Stargel. “I’ve always regretted that I never got my day in court. But at least now I can stand up and say, ‘Yeah, that happened to me.’”

Amanda Stevens also remembers being warned she could be fined for having violated the Liberty Way. After she reported being raped to the school’s Title IX office in April 2015, Stevens recalled that a school official listed her potential infractions: drinking (though she had not been drinking at the time of the assault), having premarital sex and being alone with a man on campus.

“I remember thinking, ‘What? Are you kidding me?’” said Stevens. “‘I could get in trouble for coming forward and reporting?’” After an investigation, Stevens recalled receiving a letter saying the student she had reported for assault had been found “not responsible.”

Cowboys for Trump Founder, facing charges, Turns on Trump for abandoning jan 6th rioters

Cowboys for Trump Founder Turns on Trump in Conference Speech Over Capitol Riot Charges

---

Cowboys for Trump founder Couy Griffin, who is facing charges in connection with the U.S. Capitol riot, has turned on the former president in a conference speech for abandoning January 6 rioters and failing to deliver on a campaign promise.

--------------------

"We supported President Trump because of his fight for justice as well. And for four years we cried, 'Lock her up. Lock her up. Lock her up.' We know she's a criminal. What did the president tell us? 'If I was in charge of the law, you'd be in jail,'" Griffin said Sunday at a QAnon conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Mr. President, you've been in charge of the law for four years," he added. "At the end of your four year time, the only ones locked up were men like me, and others like me, that have stood by the president the strongest."

In 2019, Griffin led a group of rodeo associates to form Cowboys for Trump, who held parades to show support for the Trump administration.
