Demovictory9's JournalJim jordan scandal heating up again..referee says he knew
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1078476professional referee says in a lawsuit filed Thursday that disgraced doctor Richard Strauss masturbated in front of him in a shower after a wrestling match at Ohio State University, and he reported the encounter directly to Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who was then the assistant coach.
Yeah, thats Strauss, Jordan and then-head coach Russ Hellickson replied, according to the lawsuit, when the referee, identified in court papers as John Doe 42, told them about the incident. The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Ohio, implies that Jordan's response to the incident, which the referee said happened in 1994, was essentially a shrug.
Republicans urge Bevin to provide proof of election fraud or 'let it go' and concede

A growing number of Republican lawmakers are urging Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, a fellow Republican, to either provide evidence of the voting irregularities he has alleged or concede Tuesdays election to Gov.-elect Andy Beshear, who defeated him by 5,189 votes.
The best thing to do, the right thing to do, is for Governor Bevin to concede the election today so we can move on, said Rep. Jason Nemes, R-Louisville.
Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester, first raised the possibility of the tight election being decided by the Republican-led legislature Tuesday night when he explained the process that would occur if Bevin decided to challenge the results of the race. Bevin bolstered that speculation Wednesday by claiming that thousands of absentee ballots were counted illegally without presenting any proof to back up his claim.

Menashi, who is on track to be confirmed to a lifetime seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, has drawn fierce opposition from civil rights groups, Democratic senators and at least one GOP senator over his wildly offensive past writings, his lack of experience and his refusal to answer senators questions about policies he worked on as the presidents legal adviser.
In past editorials, Menashi compared race data collection in college admissions to Germany under Adolf Hitler; denounced womens marches against sexual assault; opposed the radical abortion rights codified in Roe v. Wade; and claimed that a Dartmouth fraternity wasnt being racist when it held a ghetto party attended by white students donning Afros and carrying toy guns.
He also spread the Islamophobic myth that in 1913 Gen. John Pershing executed Muslim prisoners in the Philippines using bullets dipped in pig fat.
During his confirmation hearing last month, Menashi angered both Republican and Democratic senators by refusing to give any details about his White House legal work. He conceded, however, that he worked on immigration policies with Trumps senior adviser Stephen Miller, the chief architect of Trumps ban on travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries and Trumps policy of separating migrant children from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border.
He also served as legal counsel to Education Secretary Betsy DeVos when she rolled back Title IX protections for survivors of sexual assault on campuses.

Poll: More than half of Americans say 2020 election is a 'significant' stressor
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/elections-2020/poll-more-than-half-of-americans-say-2020-election-is-a-significant-stressor/ar-AAJXIso?ocid=stPoll: More than half of Americans say 2020 election is a 'significant' stressor
Fifty-six percent of Americans cited the upcoming presidential election as a major stressor, according to the annual American Psychological Association's "Stress in America" survey released Tuesday.
That's a jump from what the association found ahead of the 2016 election, when 52 percent of Americans reported the election as a significant source of stress.
Other factors stressing Americans, based on the survey, are issues that have been widely reported over the last year and discussed in the 2020 election.
Mass shootings were the most common source of stress cited by Americans, with 71 percent mentioning it, according to the survey. That's an increase from 2018 when 62 percent cited mass shootings as a source of stress in the survey.
Healthcare, a hotly debated issue in the presidential election so far, is another significant source of stress for many Americans; it was reported by 69 percent of Americans, with the cost of healthcare being the most commonly cited source of that stress, based on the survey.
Furthermore, the survey found that adults with private insurance are more likely than those with public insurance to say the cost of healthcare causes them stress; 71 percent of adults with private insurance cited the stress and just 53 percent with public did the same.

interesting description of the attraction of Trump's rallies
They also get really swept up in the moment. I talked to about a dozen people who were outside that Trump rally in North Carolina beforehand and it was that racist tweet from Trump who said that the four women, Democrats from Congress, should quote-unquote go back to where they came from, even though theyre all American citizens, three of the four of them were born in the country. And to a T, every single one of these people outside said, No, no, no, no. I would never use that kind of language ... to disparage a minority. But then two hours later, theyre all inside the arena and participating in a chant that mirrored that language. ...
The most surprising thing so far is that people Ive met who have attended 30, 40, 50 Trump rallies. They call themselves the Front Row Joes. Theyre mostly white. A lot of them are recently retired. So ... mobile. Theyre almost all kind of paycheck to paycheck. A lot of veterans on disability who will load up the minivan and the folding table and deep cycle battery that powers their camping stove and their electronics and will come and get there early.
And even though their disability checks are their entire income, theyve signed up so that $5 every month gets auto deducted from their disability check to go to the Trump campaign. These rallies are announced with very short notice, so it puts the airfare out of reach for a lot of people, but theyll figure out whos going, who they can carpool with, and if they can share hotel rooms and theyll share hotel rooms in the sense of theyll show up two days early but then Libby will wait in line with the lawn chairs and the coolers while April is back napping at the hotel. And when the gates open up, make sure youre out of the way because its a mad rush for the doors.
--------------------------
Yeah. Definitely. I mean, there is an old-time tent revival aspect to these rallies. And a sort of ritual of it. And theres a certain validation to it, too. I mean, for a lot of Trump supporters, and especially the Front Row Joes, they were among the first people in America to recognize the resonance of Trumps political message. And they were right. They picked a horse early on, stuck by him, and they won.
All of the people I talked to, the one thing they talk about is the energy they get from these rallies and its kind of psychic cleansing that comes from 90 minutes of participating in the same chants and cheering the same applause lines as 20,000 other people, like-minded people, that a lot of them dont get out of their normal daily lives.
