Here's Trump Screaming in Front of a Plane About How He Has Unlimited Power
https://splinternews.com/heres-trump-screaming-in-front-of-a-plane-about-how-he-1836314919Following a week of ignominious policy defeats and not-altogether shocking Cabinet departures, President Donald Trump would like the American public to know that he still thinks he possesses virtually limitless constitutional power.
Speaking about Special Counsel Robert Mueller with reporters outside the White House on Friday, Trump insisted his near-omnipotence derives from a thing called Article IIpresumably meaning the section of the Constitution on presidential authority (given that this is Trump, though, he might also be talking about the second article he read on InfoWars this morning)
Nobody ever mentions Article II, Trump continued. It gives me all of these rights at a level that nobody has ever seen before.
In fact, Article II gives him rights at exactly the same level as every other president for the past 200+ years. But, thats really beside the point here. I would bet all the money in my wallet right now ($17 and a coupon to Cold Stone Creamery) that Trump has no idea whats actually in Article II, which is chock full of very clearly enumerated limits to his power, as well as the basis by which he can be removed from office through impeachment.

Nasa chief fired as Trump administration vents frustration over moon landing delays

The sudden removal of Nasas head of human exploration William Gerstenmaier on Wednesday is a clear sign the White House is increasingly frustrated with the agencys efforts to return humans to the surface of the moon by 2024.
Donald Trumps administration is laser-focused on that date, which would come during a second term of his presidency, should he be re-elected.
But despite the mandate, Nasa has continued to struggle with delays and cost overruns that have threatened the programme.
And the ousting of one of the longest-serving stalwarts in the agency shows how far the White House and Nasas politically appointed leadership are willing to go towards disrupting Nasa and attempting to break through the bureaucracy many think has stilted its exploration efforts for years.
In March Mike Pence, the US vice president, fired the first warning shot, announcing a new, expedited timeline for Nasas moon landing plans.
Instead of getting humans there by 2028, he said, its new charge would be within five years. He put Nasa leaders on notice, saying if they could not complete the mission, they would be held accountable.

Trump rips social media giants in tweetstorm that botches Elizabeth Warren's DNA test result, confuses his campaign launch with Election Day and claims 'fake news' will close without him
President's Thursday morning Twitter tirade set a new record for his most mistakes per 270 characters
Claimed he 'came down the escalator' in Trump Tower to launch his campaign in November 2016, the month he was elected president
Misstated the results of Elizabeth Warren's now-infamous DNA test, saying she was '1,000/24th' American Indian rather than 1/1,024
He linked to an anti-Trump Twitter account instead of MAD Magazine's 'Alfred E. Neuman' mascot in his attempt to mock Pete Buttigieg
And Trump mocked the news media as unimportant, just minutes after boasting that he would hold a press conference in the afternoon

Jeffrey Epstein had 14 phone numbers connected to Trump in his contacts
https://www.businessinsider.com/jeffrey-epstein-14-phone-numbers-connected-trump-black-book-2019-7?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=topbar&utm_term=desktop&referrer=twitterJeffrey Epstein, the wealthy financier charged this week with sex trafficking, had 14 phone numbers connected to Donald Trump in his black book of contacts, which included a slew of powerful people from celebrities to politicians to Saudi royals.
The book, first reported on by Gawker in 2005, includes Trump's wife Melania, his longtime personal assistant Norma Foerderer, his houseman, his security officer, the president's brother and his wife, his ex-wife Ivana, and his daughter Ivanka, according to The Washington Post.
The president told reporters on Tuesday that he had a falling out with the hedge fund manager and hasn't spoken to him in years. "And he, like everyone else, sees these charges, the description of these charges against Epstein, as completely unconscionable and obviously criminal," added White House counselor Kellyanne Conway. "Disgusting, really."
Dershowitz: 'I Kept My Underwear On' During Massage At Epstein's Mansion
https://crooksandliars.com/2019/07/alan-dershowitz-i-kept-my-underwear-duringYesterday, Axios' Jonathan Swan was just floored when Dershowitz told them he did get a massage at Epstein's residence but it was from a very "old, old Russian woman."
Swan had the same reaction that we all did which is "What the hell is going on?" It's insane.
Now Dershowitz is adding more details to his story and it's not doing him a lick of good. I can never un-watch this or rinse out my brain, and neither can you.
Epstein's butler testified under oath that Dershowitz was present when underage girls were around, according to court filings.
In an interview via Skype, Dershowitz insisted he never saw an underage girl at Epstein's house, but was worked on by an older lady. Huh?
"Were there young women in another part of the house giving massages when I wasn't around? I have no idea of that," he said.
"I kept my underwear on during the massage," Dershowitz went on to stammer. "I don't like massages particularly."
Trump invites right-wing extremists to White House 'social media summit'
https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/10/tech/white-house-social-media-summit/index.htmlIt's perhaps the clearest example yet of President Trump legitimizing fringe political allies.
The White House has repeatedly declined to release a list people it expects to attend, but some of the recipients have turned to social media to boast about being invited.
Among them are Bill Mitchell, a radio host who has promoted the extremist QAnon conspiracy theory on Twitter; Carpe Donktum, an anonymous troll who won a contest put on by the fringe media organization InfoWars for an anti-media meme; and Ali Alexander, an activist who attempted to smear Sen. Kamala Harris by saying she is not an "American black" following the first Democratic presidential debates.

Heavy loss by female candidate in Republican NC runoff sparks shock
Republican lawmakers expressed shock and disappointment at the heavy defeat suffered by a woman candidate in a North Carolina primary runoff despite earning prominent endorsements and being backed heavily by outside groups.
Dr. Joan Perry, a pediatrician running in her first election, lost by 20 points against state Rep. Greg Murphy in the runoff to be the Republican nominee to replace the late Rep. Walter Jones in North Carolinas 3rd District.
Lawmakers said the scale of the loss highlighted the challenges faced by Republicans to recruit and get more women candidates elected after the number of female Republican lawmakers in the House dropped from 23 to 13 following last year's midterms.
Lawmakers and outside groups also vowed to reevaluate their recruitment strategy for women candidates at a time when Democrats elected a record number of female lawmakers last year, many in key suburban swing districts that Republicans would need to win back to regain the House in 2020.
Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) said she was shocked by the margin by which Perry lost the race, calling it a moment that brought into "stark reality" the challenges faced by female GOP candidates.
"It's just exceedingly difficult," she told The Hill about trying to close the GOP gender imbalance. "So we regroup, we find out where we were lacking what the weaknesses and we address it.
