Man Died After Lyft Driver Kicked Him Out on Highway
Former Cuomo aide Sidney Wolf was hit by another vehicle on Delaware highway

NEWSER) – Sidney Wolf, a former senior policy aide to former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, died on a Delaware highway early Sunday morning after a Lyft driver allegedly kicked him and five friends out of a vehicle. According to a Delaware State Police release, the group hired a Lyft to bring them from Dewey Beach to a residence in nearby Bethany Beach at 1:44am. But a "disagreement occurred between the group and the Lyft operator," who "terminated the ride and stopped in the middle of the southbound left lane and demanded all six passengers exit the vehicle."

Police say a 27-year-old man driving a Toyota Corolla in the southbound left lane changed lanes to avoid the stopped Lyft vehicle, but "failed to see the pedestrian who had just exited the right rear passenger seat and was standing in the roadway."

Wolf, 43, was hit by the Corolla and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the Corolla driver remained at the scene; the Lyft driver did not. The nature of the disagreement between the driver and passengers is unclear, the Washington Post reports. Police say the Lyft driver has been identified but no charges have been filed at this time.

Wolf lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with his wife and two children, reports Fox 5 DC. "Shocked & saddened to hear this tragic news," Cuomo tweeted. "Sid was a phenomenal public servant who worked relentlessly for the betterment of all NY’ers. My heart goes out to Lindsey & his two young daughters." A GoFundMe appeal to support the family describes Wolf as a "great husband, father, friend, and neighbor to so many of us."

FBI accuses former US Marine of planning 'rapekrieg' series of attacks against white women as part of Neo-Nazi plot to boost America's Caucasian population

Matthew Belanger was arrested on July 10 in New York and was accused of hiring somebody to purchase an assault rifle for him

Belanger was discharged from the Marines in 2021 after he was found to be associated with the neo-Nazi group called Rapekrieg

The Rapekrieg manifesto details plans to 'engage in widespread homicide and sexual assault' to reconfigure America's racial make-up

They plotted to rape white women to try and bolster America's Caucasian population and ensure that it outnumbers minority groups

The manifesto describes seeking to bring about a 'first world collapse' in which people who have 'any doubts about being able to pull the trigger on a Jewish child' will not be strong enough to remain in the organization.

It talks about 'brainwashing' women and forcing them to become dependent on men as they are used for breeding white people and purifying the world.

'To be successful in this battle, the white man must learn to hate, seeing red the moment he lays eyes on a member of the race that has inflicted unspeakable horrors onto his people.

Abortion question on Kansas ballot is causing an HUGE early voter surge leaning more Dem than usual

Abortion question boosts early Kansas voting for primary
Early voting is surging in Kansas ahead of next week’s statewide abortion vote and the electorate so far is leaning more Democratic than usual

TOPEKA, Kan. -- Early voting is surging in Kansas ahead of next week’s statewide abortion vote and the electorate so far is leaning more Democratic than usual.

More than 2½ times as many people had cast early ballots as of Tuesday compared to the same point in the 2018 mid-term primary, the Kansas secretary of state's office reported. Voters will decide Aug. 2 whether to amend the Kansas Constitution to allow the Legislature to further restrict or ban abortion.

Polling has suggested that Democrats are far stronger supporters of abortion-rights than Republicans, and Democrats so far make up 42% of the people who have cast ballots early in Kansas, compared to 44% for Republicans. Over the past 10 years, Republicans have typically cast twice as many ballots in a primary election as Democrats. Unaffiliated voters — who can't participate in a partisan primary unless they pick a party label — have cast nearly 14% of the early votes.

The Kansas vote is the first statewide referendum on abortion policy since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in late June. In Douglas County, among a few Democratic strongholds in Republican-leaning Kansas and home to the liberal main University of Kansas campus, 5,800 people already have cast early in-person ballots. The normal figure for a primary is about 2,200, said County Clerk Jamie Shew, who oversees its elections.

“Very rarely do you see an event that has a clear impact like that," said Shew, an elected Democrat.

Protective Monk Seal Attacks Swimmer Who Got Too Close

Protective Monk Seal Attacks Swimmer Who Got Too Close
The 60-year-old woman suffered lacerations to her face, arm, and back

(NEWSER) – A swimmer at a beach in Waikiki was injured this weekend after encountering an endangered Hawaiian monk seal known as Rocky and her young pup. The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources said in a statement that the victim is a 60-year-old elementary school teacher from California. A witness shared video of the encounter with the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. The footage shows the mother seal in the water with its pup as the swimmer approaches. The seal then charges at the swimmer multiple times and pulls her underwater. The woman received lacerations to her face, arm, and back and was able to make it back to shore with help from bystanders.

State officials said they would not recommend charges or fines for the woman since the attack was unprovoked. The Hawaii Marine Animal Response said in a statement to the AP that the seal gave birth to a pup about two weeks ago on Kaimana Beach in Waikiki, the same area where the swimmer was injured. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Hawaii Marine Animal Response have been watching the pair and warning people to stay away; the shoreline where the seals live is roped off, and Hawaii News Now reports signs about the seals have been posted in the area for weeks.

People are told to stay at least 150 feet away from a mother seal and pup, though that recommendation is not a law. The woman and her husband told officials the seals were elsewhere when she and other swimmers entered the water; she was lap swimming about 150 feet from shore when the seals started swimming toward her. "My wife had a swim cap on, and her head was in the water when both seals appeared. She could not hear 50 or so people on the beach screaming for swimmers to get out of the water," her husband said. "I'm thinking she's going to die." NOAA Fisheries anticipates the seals will remain in the area for about a month.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. —
Nearly two months into hurricane season and homeowners across the state are bracing to find out when their insurance company will stop insuring their homes.

Bankers Insurance Group is based out of St. Petersburg.

The company is pulling out of Florida's home insurance market because they say state lawmakers didn't do enough during the home insurance special session to combat fraud and litigation.

Policyholders will be notified of the cancellation within the state's required 4-month window.

The company released a statement saying:

"This decision was difficult, however, necessary to allow us to grow responsibly and maintain our long-term financial objectives."

Madison Cawthorn 'illegally spent' $200K in campaign donations from Kevin McCarthy, billionaires and retirees: Outgoing Republican burned cash he had to pay back after losing election, report says

Cawthorn illegally spent more than $200K in campaign donations: Report

The North Carolina lawmaker lost his primary race in May after just one term
Fellow Republicans funneled millions of dollars into campaigning against him
He reportedly spent money donated to his general election campaign, which he was supposed to pay back 60 days after losing
Cawthorn is also late to submit his latest quarterly campaign financial filings
Not paying back those donors is a serious campaign finance violation

The report states that he now owes $220,000 to some of his biggest donors, including the campaign coffers of House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy and Republican Whip Steve Scalise, and billionaires like Bernie Marcus and Steve Wynn.

Other supporters of Cawthorn's affected reportedly include dozens of retired Americans from multiple states including North Carolina, as well as friends and locals from his community.
