Here is what Wikipedia says about Pandora's box

Pandora's box is an artifact in Greek mythology connected with the myth of Pandora in Hesiod's Works and Days.[1] Hesiod reported that curiosity led her to open a container left in the care of her husband, thus releasing physical and emotional curses upon mankind

NC- White police force quits, refuses to work for a black woman

Less than a week after the entire police department in Kenly, N.C., announced their resignation, citing a “toxic” and “hostile” work environment, elected officials from the town of about 2,000 residents have gone silent on a plan for law enforcement moving forward. The July 20 mass resignation of the department’s police chief, four full-time officers and two town clerks, who are all white, came less than two months after the town hired a new town manager, who is Black, leaving many critics to question whether race was at the core of the department’s sudden collapse.

Justine Jones, who has worked for 16 years in local governments in Minnesota, Virginia, South Carolina and North Carolina, was selected to be town manager after a "nationwide search" of 30 candidates, according to a town press release. She began the job on June 2.

Kenly is 36% Black, 20% Hispanic and 36% non-Hispanic white.

This made me chuckle

In just 4 years Trump completely corrupted the Secret Service

If you do Reddit, I have created a sub where I am posting all the terrible things the GOP is doing

a sort of database of misdeeds that can come in handy. I pull articles from Reddit, social media, here, and various other websites

Trump supporter falsely claimed his garage was burned down by left-wing extremists in an attempted $

A Trump fan got widespread sympathy after his garage was burned and defaced with 'Biden 2020' graffiti. Prosecutors say he did it himself in a $300K insurance scam.

A Trump supporter falsely claimed his garage was burned down by left-wing extremists in an attempted $300,000 insurance scam attempt, federal prosecutors say.

They said Dennis Molla, of Minnesota, set his own garage on fire after scrawling it with graffiti showing an antifa symbol, BLM, and "Biden 2020" during the last presidential election campaign.

Per an indictment reviewed by Insider, prosecutors said Molla wanted to defraud insurers by claiming he had been politically targeted.

His story gained widespread sympathetic media coverage in which he described being shocked to discover how his home was attacked.

Anyone else creeped out by the scary depiction of MAGA in the Amazon series The Boys?

It's scary and frightening how the series was able to use the same dangerous deranged hero-worship we witness with Trump and show the same type of cult worship for the bad guy "heroes" in The Boys.

It chilled my blood to see the cult followers cheering Homelander after he murdered a heckler... It brought me back to Trump's none hyperbolic claim about shooting a man on 5th avenue

Trump pardoned him after $1M tax evasion, now he's back as an N.J. GOP boss

Three years after being convicted on federal tax charges and less than two years after being pardoned by then-President Donald Trump, George Gilmore has been chosen to return as chairman of the Ocean County Republican Party — a remarkable comeback likely to have ripple effects in New Jersey politics.

Members of the county party voted Thursday night to give Gilmore a second tenure running the most powerful county Republican organization in the Garden State — a job he previously held for 23 years.

Gilmore defeated Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy by 13 votes, 333-320, at a party convention.

That’s even though Mastronardy had the endorsement of Frank Holman III — the man who succeeded Gilmore as chairman in 2019 — and other top officials in the county, home to the most Republican voters in the state. Holman decided not to seek re-election, leaving the post up for grabs.
