How is the Coronavirus hitting your home, workplace, office or school?

My law office is a staff of 4 people. Two of the four are over 70 (I am one of the two) and a third person is nearly 70. The fourth person is is in her early 40s and has two young children. We are in LA County and the schools are closed starting next Monday and she is at home with her grade school youngsters getting the the home schooling program in place.

This is scary as hell. We have legal deadlines that are just sitting there and not being worked on. I am wondering if the Superior Courts in California are going to close. The only good thing? The 405 is the emptiest I have seen it at commuter rush hours in years!!!!

What a mess...oh, btw: FUCK TRUMP.

Romney could derail Republican subpoena targeting Bidens

Sub-headline: The Utah Republican is concerned the push appears intended to undermine a Trump rival.

A Republican effort to subpoena records about Joe Biden and his son Hunter could be derailed amid concerns from at least one GOP senator that the push appears politically motivated.

The Senate Homeland Security Committee is set to vote next Wednesday on a subpoena for records from a Democratic public relations firm related to the panel’s investigation of conflict-of-interest allegations against the Bidens.

But Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), a member of the panel, has hinted that he could vote against issuing the subpoena, noting the committee’s investigation might look political in nature given Biden’s resurgence and the increasing likelihood that he’ll become the Democratic presidential nominee.

“There’s no question the appearance is not good,” Romney told reporters, adding that he is still “considering” his vote.

On this Senate committee, the Repukes hold a slim margin -- 8 to 6 in favor of the Repukes. If Romney sides with the Dems, a 7 - 7 tie means that the subpeona would not be issued by that committee. Romney made his objects known after MF 45 announced on Faux Snooze that the purpose of doing this was to use the information against Biden if he became the Dem nominee.

A Pardon for Stone -- Between a Rock and a Hard Place for Trump.

When a person is pardoned -- in essence he or she admits that they committed the crimes alleged and found guilty thereof. A pardon does NOT adjudicate the convicted person to a status of factual innocence. In the case of Roger Stone, this is one of the crimes for which he was convicted:

"Roger Stone sentenced to more than three years in prison for Trump cover-up"

“He was not prosecuted, as some have complained, for standing up for the president,” Jackson said. “He was prosecuted for covering up for the president.”

A pardon is NOT an exoneration, it is not a status of factual innocence. So, if Trump pardons, Stone, IMO, it is an admission by Trump that Stone in fact and legally was guilty of a cover-up of the conduct of Trump. If Trump does not pardon Stone, then the verdict re a "cover-up" by Stone for Trump stands.

So Trump -- meet Stone, Rock and a Hard Place.

The manner in which Judge Jackson announced the sentencing -- she did a great job of painting Trump into a corner.

Here's What Protesters Were Shouting at Joe Biden During the Third Democratic Debate

During the third Democratic presidential primary debate, protestors interrupted former Vice President Joe Biden as he was about to answer a question about how a significant setback shaped him.

To viewers at home, it was not immediately clear what the protestors were saying. But Jess Davidson, executive director of the advocacy organization End Rape on Campus, confirmed to TIME that the group was chanting about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

Davidson also tweeted that the protestors were chanting “we are DACA recipients. Our lives are at risk.” She also wrote that at least some protesters got on the stage.
