Three-year old shoots and kills infant brother

And its always the last line in these stories that is the kicker:
"Investigators and prosecutors were still determining if any charges would be filed in the case...".
A THREE-YEAR OLD HAD ACCESS TO A LOADED GUN! SOMEONE SHOULD BE GOING TO PRISON!

Let's talk candidates for artists of Presidential Portraits!

Apparently, American Presidents typically commission two portraits after they leave office; one will hang in the National Portrait Gallery, and another will hang in the White House.
How anti-democratic! Shouldn't the choice of artist be put up for a vote? For fun, take a few minutes to consider which artist YOU would like to see given the commission to do Trump's portraits. Myself, I would to see the honor go to Illma Gore, the artist who was banned from Facebook for her nude Trump painting:

I wish we had video of Giuliani trying to evade being served!

Dominion representatives had a little trouble serving Rudy with Their 1.3 billion dollar lawsuit. They should have learned from Sasha Baron Cohen - just have a young blonde girl serve him the papers while he's 'tucking his shirt'!

Death don't have no mercy; neither do I

I heard about Limbaugh's death after a long battle with lung cancer. I thought back to last week, when I read about a religious liberty law that was passed in Arkansas, that allowed pharmacists and nursing homes to deny services if it conflicted with their religious beliefs. Rush would have been proud.
Too bad Doctors couldn't refuse to treat him, based on their religious beliefs that they shouldn't try to save the life of an evil bastard.

Just something to amuse myself

I was looking up some info about Al Capone, and noticed that with a few tweaks, it could describe another public figure.

"Capone (Donald Trump) expanded the bootlegging business (Presidential powers) through increasingly violent means, but his mutually profitable relationships with mayor William Hale Thompson (Attorney General William Barr) and the city's police (GOP-controlled Senate) meant he seemed safe from law enforcement."

"Capone (Donald Trump) apparently reveled in attention, such as the cheers from spectators when he appeared at ball games (well, he got booed). He made donations to various charities (Stormy Daniels?) and was viewed by many as a "modern-day Robin Hood" ("President For Life&quot . However, the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre (Capitol Insurrection), in which seven gang rivals (a Capitol Law Enforcement Officer) were murdered in broad daylight, damaged the public image of Chicago and Capone (the GOP and Donald Trump), leading influential citizens (House Democrats) to demand government action and newspapers to dub Capone (Donald Trump) "Public Enemy No.1" (Only President with 2nd Impeachment)"

New junior US Senator out-Trumps Marsha Blackburn

In the persistent battle of 'who loves Trump more',

"Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) announced on Thursday that he’s hired thirteen former Trump administration officials to work in his office."

I just KNEW Joe would try to take care of those kids!

I hadn't seen this earlier. But I KNEW Joe wouldn't be able to sleep nights, knowing the pain that those kids and their parents are going through. Over 500 kids, still waiting to be reunited with their parents.

Crickets from the church pulpit

My wife is LDS, and hadn't attended a church service in nearly a year. She really wanted to attend this particular service, so against my better judgement I drove her and attended with her. We live in a very rural area in Tennessee, so its a very tiny congregation (maybe a dozen families, spread out).
All of this confessing, to lead up to my disgust that there was not a single word concerning the attack on our nation's Capitol! No message from the Church's Prophet and First Presidency. The LDS Church supposedly holds the belief that the Constitution is a "divinely inspired" document, but offers no statement admonishing its members to uphold it.
The Salt Lake Tribune had this to say;
"Top officials in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints declined to comment on Wednesday’s assault on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of President Donald Trump, a siege that included a banner copying the “Title of Liberty” used by the Book of Mormon’s Captain Moroni.". https://www.sltrib.com/religion/2021/01/06/reaction-capitol-assault/

I'm sure that the Mormon Church isn't the only church with nothing to say this morning. Much like the Republican party, worrying more about losing members of their congregations, than losing their integrity.
