Nicolle Wallace Says ‘The Right Is Running a Smear Campaign’ Against Biden Over Sexual Assault Allegation

By Josh FeldmanMay 1st, 2020, 4:14 pm

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace said Friday that the right is “running a smear campaign” against Joe Biden in how it’s talking about the serious sexual assault allegation against the former vice president from former Senate staffer Tara Reade.

...

Wallace went further and said there is a “smear campaign” going on against Biden:

“The right isn’t running an intellectually honest operation to get to the bottom of whether Tara Reade was victimized. The right is running a smear campaign against Joe Biden. The right wants to create some sort of equal playing field on which Donald Trump’s nearly two dozen accusers have some company on the other side. The right is not running the same operation that the Democrats are running, which is to try to — as you just articulated, Andrea — to have some consistency around statements that I think just about every elected Democrat has made about women in the context of the #MeToo movement. So as I said with Kayleigh McEnany, everyone should proceed with caution about statements made about this on the right.”

Interesting that it is a former Republican operative who is one of the few people at MSNBC who believes Biden.

Is the right's (and Putin's) goal to have the University of Delaware archives opened

From Mika's line of questioning it seems that is what they want.

And for the record I do not and never have believed Mike is a liberal or a Democrat, she just plays one on TV. She and Joe were two of the biggest Trump supporters in the media 4 years ago. It was only after he refused to give them jobs in his administration that they turned on him. Before that she was anti-choice and pro gun and even admitted to supporting Pat Buchanan in 92.

#FireChrisHayes trends after MSNBC host covers Biden sexual assault allegations

MSNBC host Chris Hayes sparked backlash from the left when he became the first prime-time host on the network to cover a former aide's sexual assault allegations against presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, with the hashtag "FireChrisHayes" trending on Twitter.

The "All-In" host welcomed New York magazine's Rebecca Traister to his program Wednesday night after she penned an essay, titled "The Biden Trap," that was critical of the former vice president for not addressing Tara Reade's allegations in any interviews, thereby leaving Democratic women supporting his candidacy to answer questions about the allegations for him.

Biden has conducted dozens of national and local interviews in recent weeks, but has yet to be asked about the allegations. His campaign denied the allegations in a statement on March 28.

After the 2016 election found that

there were many respondents who voted for Trump but did not want to admit that when they were polled.

Does anyone know if the pollsters have come up with something to combat this for this year?

Andrew Yang sues over New York's shutdown of presidential primary

Andrew Yang sues over New York’s shutdown of presidential primary

By ZACH MONTELLARO

Andrew Yang, the former presidential candidate, is suing the New York State Board of Elections in federal court after the state election commission effectively canceled the Democratic presidential primary there.

Yang, along with seven New Yorkers who filed to serve as Yang delegates to the Democratic National Convention, filed suit on Monday arguing that they should not be removed because they had otherwise met the requirements to be on the ballot.

The decision to remove Yang “denies voters due process and denies voters the right to vote, and therefore must be invalidated removing the authority for the Defendant to take the actions complained of herein,” reads the lawsuit, which was shared with POLITICO. The lawsuit notes that neither Yang nor the delegate candidates asked to be removed from the ballot.

There is an episode of Star Trek

in which they use ultraviolet light to kill an alien infestation on a planet. Let's hope it doesn't give Trump any ideas.

The Enterprise floods the colony with ultraviolet light from an array of satellites, killing the creatures on the planet and purging the parasites from the survivors.

AOC Endorses Joe Biden: 'Absolutely' Must 'Rally Behind Our Democratic Nominee'

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Endorses Joe Biden: ‘Absolutely’ Must ‘Rally Behind Our Democratic Nominee’
By Tommy Christopher

Progressive New York Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez delivered an unequivocal endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden’s candidacy, saying that voters “absolutely” should “rally behind our Democratic nominee in November.”

On Wednesday’s edition of ABC’s The View, host Whoopi Goldberg asked AOC if she’d “be able to do the same thing” as Bernie Sanders and endorse Biden, and whether “it’s time to have a conversation with Joe?”

“Absolutely,” she replied, adding that “the stakes are too high when it comes to another four years of Trump.”

Her remarks went beyond having a “conversation” about endorsing Biden, though, as AOC went on to say “I think it’s really important that we rally behind our Democratic nominee in November,” and argued explicitly against voting third party.
