When should Harris resign her Senate seat?

Assuming we win the 2 Georgia senate seats, if she waits until January 20th and is named immediately it will still take a day or two before the replacement can be seated. That give the GOP a 50 to 49 seat majority for those few days in which they will be able to pass rules that will hamstring Dems when they take over. They could bring back the filibuster for everything and require a 67 vote majority to break it.

Of course if we lose the 2 seats in Georgia, none of this matters.

United States Constitution-Article II, Section I

The President

The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice-President chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows:

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

The Congress may determine the Time of chusing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States.

I'm just fine with all of Biden's nominees

First, I trust his judgement completely. Probably more than any other President elected in my lifetime. He knows government and how things work in Washington. And he knows who will be most effective at getting things done.

Second, it's his administration. He has the right to assemble his chosen team.

Third, most of the complaints that I've heard about some of the picks have nothing to do with the person's ability to do the job but are about optics. Oh please. We need competent people, not someone for a photo op to check a box off of some political correctness list.

And finally, if one of your favorites doesn't get picked for a position, please don't whine about it. We've has 4 years of a fanboy Presidency, now let the grownups clean mess and get things done.
