The FBI busted a militia plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) and violently overthrow the state government, according to The Detroit News.
Those involved with the plot allegedly reached out to members of a Michigan militia, according to the federal affidavit filed Thursday.
At least six men are involved and were arrested on Wednesday night after the FBI and the Michigan State Police raided 24-year-old Ty Garbin’s home in Hartland for several hours.
“Several members talked about murdering ‘tyrants’ or ‘taking’ a sitting governor,” an FBI agent wrote in the affidavit. “The group decided they needed to increase their numbers and encouraged each other to talk to their neighbors and spread their message.”

Washington — President Trump called FBI director Christopher Wray "disappointing" on Thursday, criticizing him for not doing more to investigate voter fraud, after Wray said there is no evidence of any coordinated fraud ahead of the election.
"He's been disappointing," Mr. Trump said about Wray in an interview with Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo. "He doesn't see the voting ballots as a problem."
Wray testified before Congress two weeks ago that the bureau has "not seen, historically, any kind of coordinated national voter fraud effort in a major election, whether it's by mail or otherwise."

Lansing — President Donald Trump targeted Michigan, Minnesota and Virginia in tweets Friday calling for officials to "liberate" the states amid protests over stay-at-home orders aimed at stemming the spread of COVID-19.
Trump first tweeted "LIBERATE MINNESOTA!" Then, a minute later, the president tweeted "LIBERATE MICHIGAN!"
Minutes after that, he added in another message, "LIBERATE VIRGINIA, and save your great 2nd Amendment. It is under siege!"

Stephanie Landaverde did everything right. The 24-year-old bartender took all the precautions she could as the pandemic began its spread through Massachusetts. She wore a mask, kept to a small circle of family members, and after restaurants reopened, decided not to return to work in order to protect her vulnerable parents and grandparents, who were all immunocompromised.
But her 81-year-old grandfather, Juan Ciprian, was less cautious. He was a Trump supporter and refused to wear a mask, parroting the president’s statements about the virus not being a concern.
He died last week of COVID-19. His family received his ashes the day after Trump announced his diagnosis.
“It was horrible,” she said. “We found out that Trump tested positive the day before my grandfather was cremated. It brought some anger into our hearts.”

Pelosi: "I wouldn't go anywhere near the White House...it's one of the most dangerous places"
As President Donald Trump comes off of the coronavirus outbreak that infected him and his administration, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she has no interest in going to the White House right now.
Pelosi gave an interview to The View on Wednesday, during which Whoopi Goldberg brought up the reports saying the speaker hypothesized that Trump shut down coronavirus relief negotiations with Congress because he was mentally affected by his Covid-19 medication. This led to Goldberg asking when was the last time Pelosi spoke to Trump, and would she consider getting on the phone or going to the White House.
“I wouldn’t go anywhere near the White House,” Pelosi answered. “It’s one of the most dangerous places in the country, both in terms of the assault that it makes on truth as well as health.”

More interesting: In interviews completed after Trump had been helicoptered to Walter Reed Medical Center, Biden appears to have consolidated support, leading by 16 points among likely voters interviewed most recently, 56% to 40%.

A federal judge in Montana on Wednesday rejected the Trump campaign's attempt to restrict new rules increasing citizen's access to mail-in voting, calling the campaign's claims of widespread voter fraud "a fiction."
In a 46-page order, Judge Dana L. Christensen of the U.S. District Court in Montana refused the campaign's request for an injunction aimed at stopping Gov. Stephen Bullock's (D) from allowing all eligible voters to cast mail-in ballots. Christensen, an appointee of President Barack Obama, found that plaintiffs' stated reason for seeking the injunction - the "cognizable risk of ballot fraud" - had no basis in reality.
"In many respects, this case requires the Court to separate fact from fiction," Christensen wrote. "Central to some of the Plaintiffs' claims is the contention that the upcoming election, both nationally and in Montana, will fall prey to widespread voter fraud. The evidence suggests, however, that this allegation, specifically in Montana, is a fiction."
Christensen emphasized that the plaintiffs had been given ample opportunity to support their claims with evidence, but were unable to, particularly in light of the state's recent success in conducting its primary elections through mostly mail-in ballots.

Chris Wallace says he didn't anticipate Trump flouting the debate rules
“I never dreamt that it would go off the tracks the way it did,” he said.
In his first interview since the chaotic and often incoherent spectacle — in which a pugilistic Mr. Trump relentlessly interrupted opponent and moderator alike — Mr. Wallace conceded that he had been slow to recognize that the president was not going to cease flouting the debate’s rules.
“I’ve read some of the reviews, I know people think, Well, gee, I didn’t jump in soon enough,” Mr. Wallace said, his voice betraying some hoarseness from the previous night’s proceedings. “I guess I didn’t realize — and there was no way you could, hindsight being 20/20 — that this was going to be the president’s strategy, not just for the beginning of the debate but the entire debate.”

Republican Pollster Rasmussen Shows Trump Cratering
SHOCK POLL: Trump Craters in Rasmussen Poll as Biden Gains 7 Point Swing in One Week

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden gained eight points in just one week according to the latest weekly Rasmussen poll.
Up eight points, Biden now sits at 51 percent, while President Donald Trump sits at just 43 percent.
The poll does not include responses to Tuesday evening’s first presidential debate.

According to Rasmussen, the latest poll also “finds Trump with 79% support among Republicans,” while “Biden has 84% of the Democrat vote and has reclaimed the lead among voters not affiliated with either major party.”
Rasmussen, a Republican-tilted pollster, is one of Trump’s favorites.
