Here's the weird thing. The general rule with voting thoughts in America usually is if its 2 candidates. With one extreme the other centrist the voters will just go with the extreme. In this case, Manchin as a repub light, against some right winger. Right wingers and independents will just vote for the full blown candidate.
My point is, he's being this way because he's trying to stay in office. The truth is, he might be hurting his chances because of his repub light routine.
About D.C statehood
If and I hope when it happens, I hope there is a resolution the the new 51 star flag can NEVER be desicrated by any colors. Let the police, or trump, or whoever, make their own flag and stop hijacking the American flag.
My prediction
I think dumbass isn't considering running in 2024. I really believe he would be belching out "I'm running again" non stop everywhere he could be heard by now.
Schumer
Its now time for Schumer to create the "Democratic good faith Handshake committee". He needs to announce Manchin will head it up, and staff it with people of his choosing. He needs to get to the podium and state that Manchin is the perfect guy for the job, that he's sure Manchin will easily sway many Republicans to come to our Democratic ideas. Then thank Manchin for his optimism, and tell him to start tomorrow on finding all those easily swayed republicans!!
In other words, flip the fucking script! Do this and let Manchin personally get doors slammed in his fucking face!

Capital rioters
I saw on another thread mentioned that most won't get any jail time. I think that's probably fair, if it was just some moron who walked in the open door, didn't touch anything, and didn't do any harm. They should only get trespassing, but, I do think they should be put on a terrorist watch list to go along with their lighter wallets.
All the others deserve all the prison time they get!
Shooting pool
25 years ago I used to be in a pool league. I was a very good shot with several table runs to my name. During that time, I met up with a group of friends and we decided to go out and shoot pool. After seeing how good I was, one of them suggested we shoot a game holding the cue one handed. He suggested that so he could get an advantage. I still kicked his ass.
These voting restrictions are just that, ways of giving the right an advantage. I should have never left him talk me into changing the rules (even though I won) and we need to stop the right from changing the rules. If they want to start winning elections, they need to mellow out and move way toward center, NOT cheat!
