I'm torn in two directions.
ONE: Why does the national media take seriously wackadoodles such as Marjorie Taylor-Greene, Gosar, Boebert, Gaetz and the like? These people have no interest in governing. They are in Congress to line their pockets with donations and to "own the libs". They are not serious people, they are clowns. Ignore them.
TWO. On the other hand, they are now members of powerful House committees and their nutty beliefs will be preached from the dais every day for the next two years and will be featured over and over on Fox, OANN, and radio talk shows. We can't afford to ignore them.
CNN -- WTF????
4:40 PM EST, Tuesday, Jan 17 and CNN is all over Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and China.
Going into details of Hunter's emails dealing with China, Iraq, and Barisimov. Also included Biden's brother.
I had heard that CNN's new CEO was going to move the place to the right but this is to the right of Trump.
Guess I'll add CNN to the block I have on Fox, and OANN.
White House press corps: WTF???
I watched the White House press briefing today until my wife turned it off and told me to get outside until I calmed down. The snarling pack of mad dogs who call themselves the "White House press corps" questioned and questioned and questioned every single word uttered by Biden and his press secretary on the "Biden classified documents" affair.
Meanwhile, this is what Trump was spewing forth:
"The Special 'Prosecutor' assigned to the 'get Trump case,' Jack Smith(?), is a Trump Hating THUG whose wife is a serial and open Trump Hater, whose friends & other family members are even worse, and as a prosecutor in Europe, according to Ric Grenell, put a high government official in prison because he was a Trump positive person," Trump posted. "Smith is known as 'an unfair Savage,' & is best friends with the craziest Trump haters, including Lisa Monaco who runs 'Injustice.' The Boxes Scam is a HOAX."
"Fire a man who may very well turn out to be a criminal, Jack Smith," Trump said. "His conflicts, unfairness, and mental state of derangement make him totally unfit for the job of 'getting Trump.' Go after Biden and the Biden Crime Family instead. Like Bill Barr, the U.S. Attorneys in Delaware and Illinois are weak, ineffective, and afraid to do what must be done. The Election was RIGGED, and we are now losing our Country. We can’t let that happen. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
"The prosecutor should resign, he's got a conflict," Trump complained. "He is a terrorist. He is a Trump hater. His best friends are [former Mueller prosecutor Andrew] Weissmann and all of these characters, Lisa Monaco at the Justice Department, one of the top officials. This is a disgraceful situation. He should resign!"
And what has the "mainstream media" -- including the WH press corps -- said about Trump's vile spew? NOT ONE GODDAM WORD. NOT ONE.

Nicole Wallace sounds to me as though she is convinced that Biden is as guilty as Trump.
Meanwhile, all her guests are talking about how Garland moves too slowly, is too cautious.

The chain of Presidential succession is this:
In case the President dies or is incapacitated -- the Vice-President becomes President.
If something happens to the VP -- the Speaker of the House becomes President.
What if there is no Speaker?
