I wonder, will they indict the planners of the coup as a group or individually?

This is a massive conspiracy. You have Trump, many of his lawyers, White House Staff, outside advisors, dozens of fake electors, politicians, who were all involved in the attempted coup. It will be interesting to see how they prosecute this massive case.

If you want to read a great book about the covid pandemic read this.

Premonition by Micheal Lewis.

One of the great quotes in the book, "You cannot outrun a pandemic."

The book shows how difficult it is to deal with a pandemic. Responding quickly is the key. Isolate people, trace and test. Trump, the CDC, did not respond quickly. They were completely incompetent. Game over. One of the toughest decisions that has to be made if you do respond quickly is this. Do you shut everything down right away before you really know what you are dealing with. That is a tough call.

If you do read this book you will learn about the Wolverines.

What would be an acceptable plea deal for Trumps crimes?

Because Trump is a textbook narcissist he repeats the same patterns over and over again. Trump fights, delays, any charges against him until he knows he can't win. Then he settles out of court. I believe Trump is terrified of going on trial. In his fucked up mind he thinks going on trial makes him look bad, guilty.

I believe prosecutors would rather not have a freak Trump show trial. Sooner or later all the investigations are going to come to a head. There will be talks between Trumps lawyers and prosecutors. An indictment of Trump in the secret document investigation would be very hard for Trump to win. What type of plea deal would be acceptable.

A guilty plea is a must. Fines, home confinement, lifetime ban on running for any political office would be acceptable for me at the minimum.

When Trump was elected president this fact scared the hell out me for good reason.

Anyone who works in the White House has to pass a security clearance. The cook, the custodian, have to pass a security clearance. If Trump applied for any job at the White House before he was president, he would not get that job because he would have failed a security clearance.

The Trump voters ignored this simple fact and look where we are now. Trump stole secret documents. It is unbelievable how the Trump voters ignored how extraordinarily unqualified, corrupt, Trump was for president.

Trump voters will become infamous for all time. History is going to be very cruel to them.

Hypothetically, What would happen if Garland did not indict Trump for anything?

Can anyone here explain to me how that would work, because I cannot figure it out.

Everyone witnessed the crimes. The J6 committee showed all of us much of the evidence. If Garland did not indict Trump the only possibly explanation he could give was there was not enough evidence to proceed. That would not work. It would set off a political fire storm. The news media would go nuts. There would incredible pressure put on Garland to resign and Biden's base would demand he fire Garland.

Biden would come under fire from his base. It could damage Biden's chances of winning the 2024 election. Imagine how Trump and the Republicans would respond if Trump is not indicted for anything. Holy Shit!

What would come of the precedent that is set. Planning and executing an attack on our election would be acceptable? How could we survive that?

What would happen to our national security when it comes to the handling of top secret documents. Would all future presidents be able to take home any secrets they want. place them where they are insecure. What would stop them from doing this?

Lying, refusing to answer a grand jury subpoena would be allowed in the future. How would that work out?

I admit, I cannot grasp how any of this can be allowed to happen. It would be catastrophic for our country, our lives.

This is why I have always believed Garland would indict Trump. The only other option is what I described above.

Pompeo; This is what he really meant when he attacked the head of the teachers union.

I and the Republican Party want to change our education system. We want to teach all children our version of American history. We want to teach all children only the good things about our history, none of the bad. We want to control the minds of our children. We do not want them to think out of the box. We do not want them to think for themselves.

We want to teach them this is a christian nation, period. We want to teach them this nation was created by white people only.

We want to teach all the children Columbus discovered America. We do not want to teach them about the greed and genocide.

We want to teach all the children Custer was a hero at Gettysburg. We want to teach all the children Custer and his men died heroes at the Little Bighorn.

We don't want to teach our children about the massacre at Sand Creek. We don't want to teach our children Custer was arrogant, he had zero respect for Native Americans and he paid for it. When you see teepee's that stretch to the horizon, never yell charge.

This is what Pompeo said.

Trump announced he is running for president and then, Crickets.

He has been silent. He has announced no plans, done no interviews. Trump is doing the only thing he knows how to do. Create chaos.

He most likely believes running for president will protect him from being indicted. It will not. He knows he can raise money off it. He knows his shrinking hard core base will stick with him no matter what. In the upcoming Republican primary debates Trump could shoot all the other candidates on the stage and his voters would not care. Trump is going to split the Republican Party, it's the only hand he has left. It is a very bad hand.

In my opinion, the appointment of the special counsel scared Trump. Also, ever since Trump left office he has been losing all court decisions in his attempt to delay. He no longer has the protection of the White House and a corrupt AG. That is why you cannot compare these investigations to the prior investigations of Trump while he was president. Also, these crimes Trump has committed are by far the most serious crimes he has ever committed. Trump crossed serious lines. Trump is running out of hands to play.

He is now flailing like a person who is drowning.

Elmer Rhodes sedition trial has gone to the jury.

It shouldn't take long to make decision. A guilty verdict would be a big deal. He is the leader of the oath keepers and he was in contact with someone at the White House.

Remember when I compared Trump to the little girl in the movie The Bad Seed.

They're my secret documents. Mine! Mine! Mine! You better give them back to me. You better not tell anyone.

Just like the little girl in the movie.

All the complaints, attacks against Garland are based on opinions, not the law or facts.

Garland should do this. Garland should have done that.

Garland could have re-opened the Mueller investigation, charged Trump. Wrong. Barr ended the Mueller investigation, sabotaged the investigation. Attempting to re-open that case would be a waste of time, money and resources.

Garland should have indicted individual1. Same as above.

Garlands investigations are taking too long. Wrong. Garlands investigations are at best only 18 months old. His investigations have not slowed down, they have expanded and are moving forward.

Garland should have appointed a special counsel a long time ago, that is an opinion. Garlands opinion was he did not want or need one. Now he believes he does need one because the circumstances call for it. So he appointed a special counsel.
