From the very beginning it was clear Putin had started a war he could not win, what a dumb asshole. The people of Ukraine made it clear they would never surrender, give up their country to Putin. Putin could destroy Ukraine with his military, but he could never hold it, make it part of Russia.

Putins attack on Ukraine did not go as planned, it has completely backfired. His military has been bled badly, thousands of his soldiers have died. Putins attack united Nato, most of the world against Russia. Tons of military weapons are pouring into Ukraine. Nato is holding war games. Sanctions have damaged the Russian economy. The rich people of Russia are getting hurt financially.

The Russia economy has been badly damaged and it will get worse. The people of Russia are protesting, thousands of them are being arrested. The combination of a bad economy and the loss of thousands of Russian sons dying in a foolish war will lead to major protests by the Russian people.

Yes ,Putin has great power in Russia, But he could lose that power by putting Russia in great danger, which is exactly what he has done.

The people of Ukraine have killed a lot of Russian soldiers and they are going to kill a lot more. Putin can try to control the news media but he will not be able to hide the truth from the Russian people.

I still believe the Russian people are the ones who can stop this war. Putin can't arrest everyone.

That's where this is heading, people in the large cities are going to run out of food, water, etc. I have no doubt the people of Ukraine will fight to the very end, however the loss of life will be horrific.

At some point a hard line has to be drawn. Yes, Nato must do everything they can not to get directly involved in a war with Russia. Does that include letting millions of Ukrainians die.

If Putin does not back down there are no good answers. Only bad ones.

The border with Nato countries is hundreds of miles long. Putin would have to put a huge amount of forces across the entire border and that probably would not be enough. Even if Putin blocked all roadways, that would not stop it.

People are very resourceful during war time. The people of Ukraine will find ways to smuggle weapons into Ukraine. That's how it has always worked in times of war.

It is impossible to figure out what Putin is thinking. He must know he cannot control 40 million people longterm. Right now it looks like he plans on surrounding major cities and then bomb, starve the people until they surrender. That will take a long time, the people of Ukraine are not going to give up. More and more weapons are pouring into Ukraine. A lot of Russian soldiers are going to die.

Is he planning to damage Ukraine, the government, so much it can no longer function as a country? That way he doesn't have to control it, just damage it so it can no longer function as a country.

I believe Biden should demand an immediate ceasefire from Putin and negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. If not, Biden should warn Putin he will deploy hundreds of defensive nuclear weapons to NATO countries like Poland. Countries that are real close to Russia.

He is going to kill a lot of his own people to get his way. He is going to take all their rights, freedoms away. He is going to imprison tens of thousands of Russians. He is right now trying to eliminate all forms of free press, information from reaching the Russian people. I don't know if that is possible in todays world.

Putin is fighting a war based on a belief from a time that no longer exists. He is trying to recreate history, a history he believes was a great history. He is fighting a war that he cannot win because it's based on a time that no longer exists. A time that was truly evil.
