They can't escape it. You can see it in all the hearings they are holding. They can't talk about Covid without their hypocrisy being exposed by Democrats.
They can't talk about immigration, same reason.
They can't talk about the attack on the Capital, same reason.
They can't talk about the J6 investigations, same reason.
They can't talk about any of these things because they enabled Trumps criminal madness. They are as guilty as he is.
Someone on MSNBC brought up a good point about the Republicans in Congress. For years they miscalculated with their belief they could manage people they knew were bad news. They believed they could manage Trump. They believed they could manage Fox News.
Now people like McCarthy thinks he can manage the MAGA members. They are such cowards, they are unwilling to face serious problems and correct them. Instead they say to themselves we can manage these problems.
It is possible the 2024 Republican Primary could turn into complete chaos.
Most Republicans want to move on from Trump. However, Trump has the MAGA (Lunatics) portion of the base who will vote for him even if it killed them. Trump could when the primary by default. Trump could be under indictment when the primaries begin.
Trump and DeSantis will tear each other apart during the debates.
Pence and Trump on the same stage together, can you imagine.
Then you have Ted Cruz, Pompeo, Rick Scott, Haley and other nutbags all on the same stage. They are going to have to answer questions about the Big Lie, the attack on the Capital, investigations into J6, secret documents, etc.
It is going to be completely crazy.
I wonder if Trump can be sued ( class action) for his premeditated lies about Covid.
Many people lost loved ones because Trump lied about Covid. Many people have been disabled by Covid. The pain and suffering from Covid is off the charts and Trump is to blame. Trump withheld information from the American people, flat out lied about Covid. There is evidence he knew, was told how bad Covid was. In private he was telling people Covid is really bad. He was telling the public Covid is under control, it's going away. He knew that was not true and I think it can be proven.
If you go back and look at all the things Trump said to the public about Covid, it reads like the rantings of a madman who is attempting to kill people. Which he did. Trump killed a lot of people with his lies.
The remaining years of Trumps miserable life are not going to go well for him.
It is possible Trump could be indicted in four major criminal investigations. They are all moving forward, they are all closer to the end than the beginning.
It is all but official, There are indictments coming in Georgia, possibly sometime this month.
The DA in Manhattan did not re-open the Stormy Daniels case for the hell of it. He believes he has a case he can now win.
Garland and Smith will bring forth indictments in both their investigations at some point. It is absurd to think otherwise.
Everyone who was injured by Trumps lies and actions are now suing Trump or will be suing Trump. Cops, politicians, elections workers. They have a very strong case.
Things are getting worse for Trump, not better.
People may focus on the so called time factor. In my opinion it is a waste of time and energy. Once indictments hit, trials will be set and the so called time factor becomes irrelevant. It's over.
I think we all agree Wray has to go.
Does anyone know how much longer his term is? I imagine Biden would want a very good reason to remove Wray. Something that wouldn't look political. Biden will not pull a Trump when firing an FBI director. We may be stuck with this asshole.
If anyone tells you Biden is too old, senile, to be president, say this.
That old senile guy is helping to kick the shit out of Trumps boyfriend in Ukraine, Putin. That will end the conservation.
A lesson was taught yesterday. It would be wise to learn from this lesson.
How many times have we heard Garland being accused of taking too long to search Trumps home. Now we learn it was a few FBI agents slowing things down. It was Garland and prosecutors who were being aggressive, it was few a FBI agents who were being timid, afraid to search Trumps home.
People who who do not learn from this lesson will continue to make accusations that will turn out to be unfounded.
The list of accusations against Garland is very, very, long. Garland has not been able to respond to many of these accusations. We don't hear his side of the story. We don't know all the facts as yesterday news proved.
Watching Republican hearings in Congress is like watching,
Ted Bundy holding a hearing about serial killers. They have no credibility. They have put themselves in a no win situation.
During Trumps presidency they became so corrupt, they lied and spread misinformation constantly. Their hypocrisy is easily exposed by the Democrats at the hearings. They look foolish.

Ari was interviewing a top DOJ official who worked directly with Garland. He said this.
Because of grand jury rules Garland, the DOJ cannot always respond to things that are said on the news about the investigations. Things that may or may not be true. He also said this, "There is a GAP between what the DOJ has been doing and what the public knows."
That says it all. I have been trying to make this point for months at DU. We are getting only one side of the story. People, prosecutors come on the news and give their opinion about the investigations. Garland, DOJ cannot respond because of grand jury rules.
A reporter, a news organization, reports a story about the investigations. It gets people angry, they draw conclusions that may or may not be true. Garland, DOJ cannot respond because of grand jury rules.
I have been saying from the beginning we have to wait to see what happens in the investigations. Nobody knows fully what is going on accept for Garland, DOJ. To draw conclusions about something without both sides of the story will lead to mistakes, false accusations.
We have all seen this happening for months.
The defeatists here at DU are out in full force today.
According to them we are doomed, there is no hope for justice, it's over. The investigators are either incompetent, corrupt, Trump protectors. Look, the investigators were arguing about searching Trumps home. That proves it, we are doomed. It's too late now. It was an EASY decision to search a former presidents home for the first time in history. Joke!
They claim Garland is to blame, that's why nothing is happening. The FBI was arguing, that means Wray is corrupt. There are secret undercover Trump FBI agents protecting Trump.
Holy shit Batman!
