These midterms should be ripped from the GOP playbook from 2002.

I want ads showing GOP congresspeople juxtaposed against Putin. I want to hear how the GOP emboldens our enemies and supports anti-American fascists. Paint 'em as anti-freedom, anti-democracy.

Show 'em for the turds they are.

I think US is feeding live targeting info the Ukrainians via AWACS

It's the only explanation as to how they're able to intercept these planes, IMO.

But who knows?

I think we're far more into this than we're showing.

Biden is crushing it. Unfortunately, he's not going to get credit...

Which is a shame because he's handled these last few days about as strongly as you'd ever want a leader. He's provided support, been 100% transparent about Russia's intentions, which limited their surprise - and also had an impact uniting the world against Putin. And he's offering significant support to Ukraine without putting boots on the ground.

But he'll get shit on by both sides because he'll be accused as simultaneously weak for not actually putting troops in Ukraine (which could trigger World War III - but who cares?) and the aggressor, as he's the one who goaded Putin into attacking that warmongering fuck.

He's both weak and a hawk.

It's quite amazing watching both sides do all they can to attack Biden. He's doing too much and not enough.

Some of Europe has been a disappointment.

Specifically Germany. The US stepped up hard to support significant sanctions against Russia but Germany playing a tepid approach to support, both financially and militarily to Ukraine, and toward sanctions on Russia, and Italy carving out an exception for luxury goods, is extremely disheartening.

I know it's easy to bag on the US but when we have solid leadership (FDR, Truman, Clinton, Biden), we can be a beacon of greatness internationally.

The fact is, the US stepped up. But Germany and Italy and Hungary have not.

Biden should seriously look at overriding them and kicking Russia out of SWIFT himself.

The attacks on Biden from the right are projection...

Deep down, a lot of 'em know just how much Trump capitulated Putin and they hate seeing an actual Democratic leader standing up to him. So, they're projecting. It's what they do best.

The argument about Russia protecting itself from NATO aggression is circular...

Tell me I'm wrong here.

This is what Tulsi, the former Democratic candidate for President of the United States, said tonight:

Okay. So, the US/NATO advancement that hasn't happened in Ukraine is responsible for Russia invading because they don't want NATO on their border.

If Russia takes control of Ukraine, even if it's as a satellite nation, does she not realize (I think she does, tho) what sits on the western border of Ukraine?

POLAND! A NATO country!

This rationalization of Russia's invasion is basically justifying the invasion of Poland because Russia certainly can't have a US/NATO ally on their border!

This is scary fucking logic, folks.

Imagine if Trudeau tear-gassed peaceful protesters just to clear a path to walk to a church.

I wonder what the rightwing outrage would be over that? Hm...
