I have Crohn's disease and have been warned by my gastro against taking ibuprofen. Yet, that is all my oncologist would give me after cancer surgery, despite my pleas.
See if you have a "community acupuncture" clinic in your area. Mine charges on a sliding scale, around $20 per treatment for the lowest cost. I've found it helpful for all kinds of issues: Crohn's, chemo fatigue, arthritis pain.

Yes! OTC Aleve (naproxen) @220 mg helps me a LOT!! Just once a day for my osteo aches...
