6. Dems control the legislative agenda if there are simply more D's than Rs.

That simple majority, which can be just 51 out of 100 seats, allows the most progressive, most liberal Democrats to be in charge of the Senate Committees that determine the shape of proposed laws and which ones get a full hearing.

And guess what? That process works whether the Ds in the majority are hardcore liberals, or DINOs, or corporate Dems, or "establishment" Dems. As long as they sit in the Senate with a D next to their name, that "D" counts toward the majority that puts Democratic leaders into the chairmanships of the Committees.

So even if you're stuck with some kind of Republican-Lite Democrat on your ballot, YOU VOTE FOR THEM, if for no other reason than that the more liberal Senators that others of us may be blessed with will need a Dem majority in order to their jobs and help move the country in the right direction! (Also, always vote for whatever Dem is on your ballot just to counteract a vote received by their Republican opponent. It really is true that not voting for the Democrat is allowing one more vote to count for the Republican.) in short, to get control in Congress, we simply need more Democratic butts in the seats, no matter what kind. Period.

By the way, NOT voting doesn't send some sort of signal to the Democratic Party that they need to run candidates more to your liking, but it DOES send a signal to the GOP that their divide-and-conquer strategies are working.n

Vote state, local, and Federal; vote every time; and vote Democrat!
