I have long told people that if a job makes them miserable, they should quit. I often get looked at as if I'm speaking Martian. But I'm not. If you don't like your job, if it makes you miserable, quit. And don't counter with some bullshit about never getting another job. You can always take some kind of a temp job, or work retail, or something. Really. A job that makes you that unhappy simply isn't worth it.
