2nd Lt. Pat Robertson’s job during the Korean War, obtained after his daddy, Sen. Robertson of Virginia, arranged to have his son removed from his original assignment as a 90-day wonder platoon leader. Pat got off the ship in Yokohama and waved goodbye to his men and fellow officers from the dock. He thought no one would remember, if anyone survived the meat grinder. One fellow looie did, Pete McCloskey.
