Doing so immediately would appear to be completely political and would feed into the idea that Democrats are just irrationally trying to go after Trump. The results would also likely be the same with the Senate acquitting without an impartial trial.

The House has ongoing investigations and continues to seek to hear from witnesses. They should continue to do so and when something actionable comes up, then they should follow the Constitutional procedures including another impeachment inquiry.
