(9,068 posts)Bay Area. Hes not having his favorite week. Fortunately, he does most of his work/meetings in conference calls, so he works from home most days.
What Ive been hearing just passing through the room is mortifying. Theyre all hands on deck, and they know its going to be a nightmare. The pharmacies are about to get slammed. Forget the hospitals.
Funnily enough, I was in the hospital for pneumonia two weeks ago. I thought I just had bad bronchitis. They took a chest X-ray and put me on IV antiobiotics. Totally fine now, and I didnt have a fever, so they didnt suspect the virus (plus no one around me has gotten sick).
Its odd since I just got a pneumonia vaccine in November. But I get bronchitis often. I work HR in a refrigerated warehouse. I think going in and out from office to cold warehouse was doing a number on me (new job).
But talking with them, you could tell the doctors and nurses were already prepared for some shit. Theyre deeply worried.
