9. It is like that here too. Plus where I usually buy it online as well.

I usually go ahead and order my TP online, but even that is not happening right now.

I did see a theory on it in this article, although I don't know how much of it I believe just yet:

I don't necessarily agree with the logic of not wanting to redistribute commercial toilet paper to consumers because of how commercial TP is manufactured. They were mentioning something in regards to what percentage of commercial paper is made of recycled materials compared to what percentage of consumer toilet paper is made of recycled materials. People were using it in their workplaces and in businesses before. So, I doubt it would matter now. It is no time to be picky, lol.

The other stuff discussed in the article seemed like a plausible partial explanation.

I cannot help but wonder if they could compare notes between their commercial distribution supplier contacts and consumer level suppliers to redistribute the commercial TP as well. It seems doable to me.

But, they did have a point about everyone using the bathroom at home much more now, when before they weren't always going at home. That part did make some sense, but it seems like the corporations that make TP could adjust for a short while to make sure people can get it.

I still believe people panic buying played a larger part than they are saying as well.

So, overall, people are going to the bathroom at home more now than before, so even without panic buying, the demand is going to skyrocket. I think the corporations that supply it should take that into account and adapt. The first one that adapts and makes it available again gets my vote for heroes of the year.
